    I think I found my new desktop background: images.sportsline.com/u/a...24x768.jpg I'm glad to see that Derrek Lee wasn't bush league like Prince Fielder was against the Pirates. Lee is a class act for sure.

    From what I could make out from the several angles of the fight they showed on WGN, Young initially said "Sorry" and Lee replied with a "Yeah, right." Young then said something that caused Lee to throw the first punch, but there wasn't a good angle to make out what Young said to cause the incident.

    The Twins are coming into this series winners of their past 4 games, including a sweep of the Braves capped off by a 3-run rally in the bottom of the 9th last night. This definitely won't be an easy series, especially considering it's taking place in the MetroDump.

    For those interested in scoreboard watching, the Cubs won again today, beating the Pads 4-1.

    He was actually the M's first round pick last year (5th overall) and had been solid (or at least lucky) up until today -- 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA, but with 26 K's and 24 BB's. I wouldn't say he's *terrible* since he's still young, but today was one of the days were he certainly didn't come through.

    TURNBOW! I love Detroit's free swingers. Edit: With that K, Derrick's ERA moves below 4...he's now at 3.99. Looks like Todd Jones and his 5.55 ERA is coming in for Detroit.

    If you take out April for Spurling when he gave up 8 hits and a bunch of runs in two innings, he's actually been pretty good. Not sure why all the hate for him. Compared to some of the clowns out there last here, I'm looking at you Winklesas, he's darn good. True, but Spurling is what he is. He's definitely serviceable, but I'd rather not see him in as many high-leverage situations. He did a nice job of getting out of a jam today, though.
