    I really, really hate it when the Brewers play in PNC Park from Hell.

    I think the day game after a night game has Damian sitting for today's game. I'd say Damian's next start would either be Thursday afternoon or Friday night.

    Ryan Howard said he's going to San Fran to defend his title, even though he's not playing in the game. Good to see. With McCovey Cove being featured, I'd love to see a lefty-heavy group compete this year.

    Villy has been incredible from the pen this year. The guy is just so incredibly cool on the mound...it's like nothing fazes him.

    Here's to hoping Suppan has another solid outing like the one he had against Houston. Maybe a start against the Pirates is what he needs to get back on track..he's already 2-0 against the Bucs this year with a 3.80 ERA, but it looks like he's been more lucky than good against them -- a total of 14 hits and 3 walks in 11.2 IP. I'm not asking for 7 IP, 2 ER, and 8 K's...just get us through 6 innings without giving up 3 home runs in the first 2 innings, please. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

    I believe both the managers and players can select pitchers. According to this MLB.com article, the players select 8 position players and 8 pitchers, with the managers filling out the rest of the 7 spots.     On pace for their first 100-loss season since 1982, the Reds fired Jerry Narron today after their loss to the Cards. The Reds are 31-51, which is the worst record in Major League Baseball.     I'd say going 13-4 in their past 17 is making a pretty good statement, but it would've been nice to win this series. It's not the end of the world, though, and it's definitely not a series that will propel the Cubs on some ridiculous hot streak -- they were already on that streak before the series even started. They'll cool down eventually...not too much to worry about. Now if the Cubs sweep the Nats and the Brewers lose 3 of 4 in Pittsburgh, I'd start to get worried. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

    Well I can't get too down if the Brewers end up losing this game...didn't a lot of us say that we'd be fine with getting just 1 out of 3 and seeing the Cubs only gain a single game? Yeah, it sucks that the Brewers blew the first game, but that'll happen. Gotta dust off and head to Pittsburgh.
