    The Bulls get the Knicks' first rounder this year as a result of Isiah Thomas' stupidity in the Eddy Curry trade, meaning the Bulls will add another lottery talent this year...they're starting to build up some scary depth.

    Someone asked a question and I just gave my opinion. Looking at the schedules, the Astros have an easier schedule in the next two weeks than the Brewers do. I'd hate to see the Brewers lose the division lead, but it'll probably happen sooner or later -- how often do teams lead their division all season? As far as today's game goes, it's only 4 innings into the game...a 3 run deficit is not that big. Even though the Brewers didn't get any runs in the 4th, they at least started hitting the ball with some authority, meaning there's still some hope.

    Chipping away at the deficit is generally only successful if you stop giving up runs. Agh.

    Well, the Astros are currently losing to the Rangers...after today, they also go on an AL West road trip, but they play the Giants and Diamondbacks. There's a small chance they could catch the Brewers by the end of the west coast road trip, but they'll beat up on the Reds after that trip is done. If I had to pick a date where the Brewers would be in serious jeopardy of losing the division lead, it'd be a few days after Memorial Day.

    Bill just said "slumpbuster" way too many times for comfort. Hey, look at that...the leadoff guy got on! So *that's* what happens when the leadoff hitter doesn't swing at the first pitch!

    I remember Gross hitting leadoff a bunch of times towards the end of last year. While his average stinks right now, he's got some pop and his OBP should lead to some baserunners being on for J.J. and Prince for a change. Here's to hoping the Brewers don't get Boof'd tonight.
