  1. MLB.TV Too many pac-man game breaks I see dots at night
  2. Another outfielder to eventually take time away from Corey Hart. Seriously, though, I'm just happy the Brewers got something for Closser.
  3. Here is a question: How many syllables in an emoticon?
  4. It has been too long Since high school English classes Haikus make headaches Jack Bleeping Wilson Shortstop with a lucky bat How I despise thee Retro uniforms Guarantee a loss tonight Win on Saturday Johnny Estrada Hacks with no balls and no strikes Kills rallies in ninth Be smart on bases Hit Paul Maholm early Get another win
  5. Can't win 'em all, and like a few others said, this was probably the best bet for a Brewers loss this series. Bush only gave up 4 runs...unfortunately, Gorzelanny was on tonight and it didn't cut it. Frustrating loss because of the baserunning, but it just felt like one of those games where nothing went right -- everything the Brewers hit seemed to be right at a fielder. Go get 'em tomorrow.
  6. Hey, a baserunner! And yes, it'd be good to have Braun stepping into the box now, assuming he doesn't start off like Alex Gordon has this year.
  7. Down to Jenks. Just get a freaking single or something.
  8. If Estrada swings at the first pitch in the bottom of the 9th, I may be forced to strangle the nearest living creature. Edit: He did it. He freaking did it and fouled it off. Ugh.
  9. Now is probably a bad time to start trying to hit a solo home run in every at bat. Keep it a two run deficit and go after Torres next inning. *sigh*
  10. Spurling with a relatively quiet 8th.
  11. To be fair to Bush, giving up 4 runs is hardly considered a bad outing for your #4 pitcher. Think the Cards would kill to get that out of their #4 starter?
  12. The good news is that the deficit is only two runs and the Bucs' bullpen isn't exactly great. As for Bush not doing well this year, I have to disagree...the amount of good innings outweigh the amount of bad innings so far. If Ned takes him out instead of letting him try to battle through some really horrible innings, I would guess his ERA would be at about 4.50.
  13. Bushy's spent. Just one of those games where nothing seems to go right, but you hope you get lucky somewhere along the line.
  14. Nice grab Prince! One more out to go and then I can exhale.
  15. Problem is, Shouse and Spurling aren't ready yet. The score might be tied before they can get in the game...that's the trouble with leadoff doubles.
  16. JJ just decided to do it all himself this half inning. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  17. Yeesh...a lot of baserunning blunders so far, and it's still pretty early. To be fair, I would say that only the Graffy rundown was on an individual player...the double steal and the Hall play were called by the coaches. You could even hear Leyva yelling "Go go go!" as soon as contact was made on the Hall play.
  18. (In Seinfeld "Newman" tone) ....Wilson.
  19. Even though Billy's been struggling, you have to let him try to get the guy home from third himself. Pulling the double steal two games in a row is also an iffy call, but at least the Brewers got a run out of that inning.
