With the way Parra has pitched in the majors this year, it's hard to imagine another team viewing him as anything more than a throw in. It's likely not indicative of his true talent, but we don't really know what other teams think of him at this point. I believe Arizona when they say it'd take a ridiculous offer to trade away Haren, and The Truth probably wasn't far off. Haren's signed to a ridiculously team-friendly contract through 2012, with a team option for 2013. They also emptied out their farm system to get him in the first place, so they're probably expecting another team to do the same if they're moving him. They traded away two players the A's used to acquire Matt Holliday (Carlos Gonzalez and Greg Smith), a pair of very solid lefties in Brett Anderson and Dana Eveland, and two pretty good hitting prospects in Aaron Cunningham and Chris Carter. If Arizona thinks they can compete in the West next year, there's no reason to trade him. It would be pretty cool to see him in a Brewers uniform, though. I just fear what it would take to get him...at least he'd be signed long-term.
