  1. I need one seat for myself. Our group got tickets scattered all over, and I volunteered to sit with whomever, wherever. Big Brewer fan, hoping to sit by/find some of the same. Please let me know if anyone has an extra, thanks!
  2. When I first read through it, I had to go back and read it again, because it seemed too ridiculous to actually be published somewhere.
  3. Apparently Rob Neyer isn't as high on the Brewers youngsters as we are. Three Brewers land in his top 50, Braun being the highest at 14 and Prince being the lowest at 40. It's really kind of a messed up list in my opinion, but I guess it's all personal opinion in the first place. ESPN.com Top 50 for Next Five Years
  4. I have 4 cans left from a 12 pack of High Life, some milk and cheese. I wish I was home more to cook...
  5. No he doesn't hit for power, but that isn't what this team needs. They already have enough power. I don't recall him getting a good chance in the league to show he can get on base consistently either. Spring training doesn't count for anything because it's just that, training. Yes there are limitations, I'm not saying there aren't, but to say the guy has had a fair chance at starting and hasn't done anything to warrant a position is outrageous.
  6. For whatever reason TGJ I don't think is a bubble boy on this site. It come across like nobody here wants that guy to succeed. Now if you update that list on a game day where the Brewers lose, there won't be a single "good guy" on the page.
  7. The faster this game is played, the better off MU is. Play stoppages kill them. And I did know, I was sixth sensed over here.
  8. I've been watching since tip, who knew Bf would have a thread going!
  9. I bet Dusty finds a way to have Harang throw about 3,000 innings this year.
  10. Through the fire and flames, nice. I feel like there would be easier songs for this game!
  11. "Holy Diver" by Dio.
  12. Ted Simmons Article Pretty good read. (added tag --1992)
  13. Avril Lavigne is the cover girl for the March Maxim. That definitely does NOT bug me.
  14. I live downtown, and I would recommend the "Central Business District - East." Anywhere over by Metro Market to the lake is good living, younger crowd, close enough to water. Shoreline real-estate is a good option, as they have many of the buildings on the lower east side.
  15. I am well aware as I used to work for a professional sports franchise in St. Louis. That's probably why I got such a kick out of it.
  16. Editorial on Cardinals Pitching Pretty funny stuff, I can't imagine this guy is really liked from within the organization.
  17. The sad thing is, I live walking distance from the BC and have no desire to go to the game. Nor would I if they were winning. I'm tiring pretty quick of the attitudes/egos that reside in the NBA. I know all sports have them, but for whatever reason, they seem highlighted in the NBA.
  18. It looked like Keith Hernandez behind him!
  19. I put "garbage" in quotes for a reason. Not because that's what I though of his post, but rather because that's all threads ever turn into, especially during the season.
  20. Can we put all this Yost junk into one thread this year? PLEASE? It gets to tiring to come on here for good baseball talk to always see "garbage" like this being posted. Just as the vent thread, I am voting for a Ned thread.
  21. Do any of you have any personal stories of how he is a jerk? I don't think it's fair to coin him that at all unless he's acted as such to you. 99% of his current and former players would run through a brick wall for the man. Any one who has worked with/for him in his 42 year career has nothing but the highest compliments to pay him. Nearly everyone he has met said he is one of the most genuine people they have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We don't know the conversations he's had with the folks at TTU, for all we know, they were waiting for this day for a couple of years. His son, Pat, was named his successor several years back, this isn't anything new or unexpected.
  22. I can't believe there has been no love for the Wade/Barkley "Five" commercial. That was easily one of my favorites.
  23. Well to each his/her own, but I have to disagree with this one. I lived down in St. Louis for a baseball season, and was more than unimpressed. No parking near the stadium, and what is available is over priced. The fans are snobby, boring, and barely even stand up and cheer during a game changing home run. The stadium is ok, the seating is very gradual so if someone of decent height is in front of you, good luck. Tickets are over priced in "baseball heaven" and they announce a sell out with 10k empty seats. It's one of my least favorite venues. I think St. Louis is a toilet. That being said, they still have some great fans. They are no better or worse than our fans. Therefore, lay off of them. We have some of the most uneducated, trashy fans in MLB too. Lay off their fans? Thank you board police, I didn't care for their fans, it was my opinion. I even led my comment by saying to each his/her own.
