  1. Three pitching prospects, who alone would most likely do better than Johnson in his waning years, then you send Vizciano and a SS too. I think this was a bad deal for AZ.
  2. I think I might trade Jenkins and Cordero for Ellsbury, Buchholz, and Pedoria. But I dont like Pena, he reminds me too much of Branyan.
  3. What are the top 5 stats to use for hitting, pitching, and fielding?
  4. I think that with the ERA and ERA + numbers that you can conclude that the Brewers have a above average pitching staff
  5. I think we can carry Cordero, Turnbow, Capellan, Shouse, Sarfate, Wise and Aquino in the 'pen, however, that means Vargas is our 5th starter and Villy goes to AAA. We could also trade wise/aquino and Mench/jenkins for a solid RP.
  6. What can we expect out of him? My guess is that with time(2009), maybe a 4th outfielder. Based off of his stats, it seems like he could go .270/.335/465 .800 OPS in the majors He seems to be a 2 - tool player -- Power and Defense, but the other 3 tools are pretty decent. If i were to put him in the Power 50, he would probably go about 35, behind Ford, and ahead of Errecart. Idea? Opinions? More Info? -- Please post
  7. Thank you for the Power 50's, it has definately been my favorite part of Brewerfan. I wish you luck in your new adventures.
  8. Packers? You mean Slackers? I almost forgot they are a team. I just watched they lost 38 - 10, what a waste of my Sunday.
  9. My Top Ten Yo Braun Inman Salome Villanueva Perez Gellispie Jeffress Parra Iribarren
  10. Is Matt Garza still a rookie, because he has pitched exactly 50IP.
  11. Its seems like the Dodgers, Angels and Diamondbacks have 3 or 4 top 20 prospects(BA Top 100 - 2006). How do they do it? Why don't the Brewers have that many great prospects? Where do you think Gallardo, Braun and Inman will rank on the 2007 Top 100? edit: title
  12. So the Brewers could get 7th overall(Brewers first rounder) 23rd overall(from padres, if graffy signs with them) 35ish overall(comp pick from graffy) 50ish overall(comp pick from Ohka) 60th overall(Brewers 2nd rounder) 90th overall(Brewers 3rd rounder) That seems very possible, and with 6 picks in the top 90, and 3 in the top 35. I can' t wait to see what Jack Z does with this.
  13. What about Sarfate, he can be a 1 inning guy, as well as a long reliever
  14. CJ, maybe Wieters is a longshot, but its much better that some of the top 6 have catching. To answer your question, the D - Rays have Shawn Riggans, a 26 yr old with a good bat, power and average, with average defense. Here is a link to his stats thebaseballcube.com/players/R/Shawn-Riggans.shtml They also have John Jaso, who is only 23, and has just crushed low minors pitchers. The Cubs and Royals players tommorow
  15. I take it back, the brewers just might have a chance at Wieters. Now, before you start to laugh, just listen. The first four picks go to Tampa, Kansas City, Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh, all of these clubs have really good catching either in the majors, or in the minors with 2 or 3 really good prospects. So that tell me that they wouldn't pick a catcher(its like Atlanta picking a catcher in the first round, why do it when you have McCann and Saltamacchia). So then the fifth pick has a chance at him, which is Baltimore, and they have Hernandez at catcher in the majors, and a catcher or so in the lower minors. The nationals are the sixth pick, and they have 2 catchers that could be good in the lower minors. I think Wieters will be picked by the brewers, if he is lucky enough to get passed Baltimore and the Nationals.
  16. IMO, if J.P. Arencibia is still hasn't be picked, the crew should take him. But who do you think the brewers should take? Keeping in mind that the top 3, 4,5 or so will already be picked(so Price, Wieters, etc are not options).
  17. Anyone want Durrington back? But to get serious now, what about C Sandy Madera from Baltimore. He will be 26 next season, and has some power and hits for average. He hasn't ever been a big prospect, as he's bounced around the minors with the Yankees and A's and Rockies, only getting 1200AB in 8 years, but maybe he could help our Catching problem. Here is a link to his stats. thebaseballcube.com/playe...dera.shtml Possibly Mike Kinkade, some of you might remember him from the '90's, when he was in the brewers system. Old, but he might be able to help, he is still good, maybe 4A or better This might be the best option yet Jailen Peguero of the Astros. Really good numbers, and will be 26 for the '07 season. He has done real good at all levels of the minors, just take a look at his stats thebaseballcube.com/playe...uero.shtml Maybe Ty Meadows of the Dodgers, here are his stats thebaseballcube.com/playe...dows.shtml
  18. Hawing, your answer is: the Brewers will be playing in the 7th game of the world series, and the Packers will be 0-8 but they will put them on 620, and then the Bucks will be in a preseason game on 1290. The brewers game just won't be on the radio. Worst off all, FOX will blackout the game in Milwaukee.
  19. They payroll has been increaesing every year about 10 mil or so, so how about the $70 million dollar challange?
  20. You see many plays that SS or 3B make where they dive and make the throw from there knees. How much more had to be on that throw to make it get to 1st than if he was standing up.
  21. Then Im guessing the Top Ten to be this: Yo Braun Inman Villanueva Jackson Jeffress Gellespie Rogers Hurricane Fermaint Not neccesarily in that order, but those should be the ten if there are 6 pitchers 2 IF and 2 OF.
  22. Why are we so high on fermaint, has anyone seen his stats lately.
  23. No Hurricane in your top 10, pogokat?
  24. Thank you, your not going to drop Yo after his start tonight?
