  1. With Parra slated for tomorrow and Burns on Saturday against the best team in MLB, I don't know how much more I can handle. Honestly, this team hasn't been fun to watch since the end of the Astros series in May --before Memorial Day. And, as I type, Gamel homers. Woot.
  2. I'm generally a pessimist, but there will be plenty of opportunities against Wellenmeyer tonight.
  3. I saw some guy at Miller Park wearing that same shirt last night.
  4. I see how the comments about the shadows could be perceived as "whining", but there's certainly merit if it's a "safety issue", as Braun alluded to. I have no idea if Braun was exaggerating or, if he was, to what extent, but it's fair to give him the benefit of the doubt.
  5. Veering off-topic, but they've sold-out every Sunday afternoon home game since the start of 2008. Same can't be said for Friday nights, even though it's close.
  6. Why does Melvin have a beef with Braun's complaints about the windows/shadows? That's fair and legitimate concern from the face of your franchise, and I didn't think they were inappropriate in the least. IMO, Melvin is a little thin-skinned.
  7. I think it's only blacked out on WGN if the game is played in Milwaukee. They've always aired from Wrigley. Same with the Braves when they played on TBS.
  8. Good thing we have lots and lots of insurance because Looper isn't looking too hot. Edit: Lol Theriot.
  9. There's another three-game series in Milwaukee in late September.
  10. I'm going to be unhappy if the Brewers just throw their hands up and say, "Hey, what can we do? It looked like a strike to us, but the umpire thought differently. We'll just have to get 'em tomorrow." Not saying that there's anything we can do about what happened, but can somebody act displeased?
  11. Davey Nelson said something to the extent that the pitch "surprised" Welke and Fox. Um, so? The ball crossed the middle of the plate. The officials in the NFL and NBA receive heat when they screw up. Yes, less so in the NBA, but it's well known who the incompetent ones are and who the shady, dirtbags are (Bavetta, Crawford). But Welke will get away with this without any sort of retribution, fine, or suspension. Heck, I don't even know if these guys receive thorough evaluations at the end of the season. I long for the day when a robot will call balls and strikes.
  12. There are likely no consequences for Bill Welke blowing that call. Simply unacceptable.
  13. It was a 2-run shot. Brewers entered the inning leading 5-3, Chicago cut the score to 5-4 on a sacrifice fly by Lee, Ramirez went yard with a guy on first to win it 6-5.
  14. Milton Bradley http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. Nice, Soup. Always fun to watch him pitch when he's keeping the ball down.
