  1. Is being 10-20 in the last 30 games a fluke too? Uh, the writing has been on the wall for awhile now. Of course it has. But a no-hitter, while a great performace, is a fluke. It only happens a couple of times each season, sometimes less. I can fairly say that this is the worst game of the season.
  2. Plus, Sportscenter will be dominated by the NBA Finals tonight. There will be less than normal exposure to his no-hitter.
  3. The 2004 Braves got no hit (perfect game, actually) by the absolutely pathetic Diamondbacks and still won their division. It's a fluke and Verlander was absolutely in the zone. Hats off to him.
  4. Funny, funny. Everyone complains about this lineup and Verlander ends up throwing a no-hitter. Oh, ya gotta love Ned Yost!
  5. It's showtime, folks. I cannot wait to read the paper tomorrow to see Ned's quotes. I'm sure the Brewers really battled tonight.
  6. Counsell, Graffy, and Hardy up in the 9th. You really have to like Verlander's chances.
  7. Yes, Verlander is absolutely in the zone tonight and should be commended for his outing. But, this seems to be the tip of the iceberg with the offensive woes.
  8. You'd have to think if the Brewers get no hit tonight, we'll never see this lineup again. I'm really, really hoping for a no hitter.
  9. I hope we get no hit. Maybe the embarassment will serve as a wake-up call.
  10. Cubs lead the Mariners 2-0, while the Royals lead the Cardinals 3-0. So, the division lead will probably be down to 4.5 by the end of the evening.
  11. This performance is a lot like Cole Hamels' against the Brewers last month. Our offense just looks silly right now.
  12. Verlander has matched his season-high of 7 K's through 4 innings. Nice to see the Brewers offense carrying over from Sunday night!
  13. sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog...36061&cp=7 Jeff Passan with a story from Yahoo.
  14. I'll throw my hat in the ring as well. Thanks, Pedro.
  15. Wasn't that from the Spy who Shagged Me? It's from the first movie: Austin Powers International Man of Mystery.
  16. I think the Cardinals will struggle in Kansas City this week, while the Cubs will host a tough Mariners team. Even if the Brewers are below .500 next Monday, they'll still be in first place.
  17. Sparky will probably be a pain and not reveal the "big news" until the show is over at 2 am.
  18. Is anybody listening to the postgame show? Sparky says he has breaking news regarding Ned Yost.
  19. Oh boy, Vargas is working. It will be a long and possibly scary bottom of the 12th.
  20. I'm losing weight by just listening to this game. Ugh.
  21. Thanks, CB!! Come on, Hardy, please, please.
  22. If not for Coco, the Brewers would have already won the series, 2-1. Nothing could go wrong to start the season, now nothing is going right. You have to wonder if CoCo's mishaps in this series have been mental due to his "homecoming" to Arlington. I sure hope it is because I seriously can't endure another Derrick Turnbow-like soap opera in 2007.
  23. If the Brewers and Rangers play in Milwaukee, we probably sweep them. I've never seen a team so bad on the road and so good at home.
  24. The chances of Ned being canned are between 1-5%, if they lose tonight. I have a sick feeling that Padilla will be dominant tonight.
  25. Anyone know when they're going to put on the squeeze play thing? Squeeze play is on Monday at noon and 7 pm.
