  1. Any of Narron, Hammond, or Miller would be fine with me. Or maybe they'll move ZachJack back to the rotation and call up Patrick Ryan (or just be lame and bring Jason Shiell back up).
  2. We'd take Callix back if he was removed from the Padres roster, wouldn't we? With Rickie struggling, the Hurricane manning CF, and Abraham Nunez currently making most of the 2B starts in AAA, Callix should have a starting gig in Nashville waiting with some potential of a callup, right?
  3. Dave Bush, Jeff Weaver, Zach Jackson, Chris Narveson, Mark DiFelice. What a weird rotation for Nashville. Here's to hoping Dave dominates AAA like Rickie last year and comes back to Milwaukee with similar results. And of course, welcome back to the bigs Mike! Start out hot and help kickstart this offense!
  4. I think I remember hearing that Stetter will be used more like a setup man and less like a LOOGY in Nashville. Looking at his stats so far, he's gone at least an inning per appearance, and has mostly faced righties, and done very well. After his decent September, his fantastic Fall League (especially against lefties), and his small sample 2008, it seems like he could be an adequate complement to Shouse, sooner rather than later. Other than Stetter and Choate, we also have Chris Narveson and Zach Jackson in the AAA rotation. Not sure how either would do over multiple innings out of the pen, but there definitely are some options if our expensive but inconsistent relievers like Turnbow, Mota, and McClung falter.
  5. Just for my curiousity, where do you guys think Inman, Garrison, and Thatcher would have been on the the current Power 50?
  6. With Angel's suspension over, I thought I'd just post Huntsville's lineup (or at least what I think it will be) along with those players' ranks on the power 50. And then I'll just say; wow, what a lineup! Brantley CF (15) Escobar SS (3) Gamel 3B (4) LaPorta RF (2) Salome C (6) Gillespie LF (7) Errecart 1B (24) Bell 2B (39)
  7. He'll probably be backing up Lee Haydel and Caleb Gindl in Single A West Virginia. He was only in AA to replace Mel Stocker, who was pinch running in Milwaukee at the end of last season. If you check out his stats, he'd never played higher than Rookie Helena before his short trip to Huntsville. As for Huntsville; Cole Gillespie, Lorenzo Cain, and Michael Brantley will be fighting for the final 2 outfield spots (LaPorta will be in RF most of the time).
  8. On MLBTradeRumors, they mentioned the Haudricourt comment about Blalock, and one poster suggested Sheets for Blalock and Teagarden, a 23 year old catcher who hit .310/.426/.586/1.012 between High A and AA in 394 ABs last year. He struck out 128 times, but walked an impressive 75 times, while hitting 27 homers. The writer at MLBTR suggested Dave Bush and a pitching prospect for Blalock. The Bush trade seems decent if we don't give up more than Derek Miller or Steve Hammond or someone like that. The Sheets trade, I don't know, I think we need to get pitching back for Sheets, but if Teagarden is a potential stud, I might be pretty interested.
  9. I very much dislike Frank, but that Seinfeld sketch wasn't half bad. I turned it off about halfway through because it was about as bad as I expected after that.
  10. CF Michael Bourn 2B Kaz Matsui 1B Lance Berkman LF Carlos Lee RF Hunter Pence 3B Ty Wigginton SS Adam Everett C J.R. Towles P Pitcher This is the proposed starting lineup in the linked article. 3-4-5 looks nice, the rest, not so much.
  11. what would this package equate to in terms of Brewer prospects? Gwynn Jr, Aquino, Heether?
  12. Saw this on MLBTradeRumors. AL here, NL here. CoCo and Linebrink both Type A's, so we'll get some nice picks if both are taken by the right teams. I also thought this was interesting. How was Thatcher almost a type B and somehow higher than Shouse? The NL catcher rankings just go to show how weak catcher is in the league.

  14. The only reason I would want the DH in the NL is to keep Prince away from any sort of fielding. Plus, we might still have Overbay if Prince could DH.
  15. System Restore. If that doesn't work, re-install Windows or whatever you use. If you do have to go that route, transfer any vital files over to your PC or an external hard drive or it will get deleted.
  16. So what's the consensus on Steve? Back to Huntsville next year no matter what, or could a dominant AFL run bump him up to Nashville?
  17. Alcides Escobar, Guilder Rodriguez, and Freddy Parejo are all listed on the roster of Lara with Iribarren.
  18. if the Brewers intend to fast-track Lucroy somewhat to open 2008 (both Gillespie and Errecart skipped low-A to open this past year). I keep thinking that too. Add that to the fact that Bouchie's overall numbers in WV were pretty awful and he hasn't really earned a promotion, and a decent showing in Hawaii could land Lucroy the starting gig in Brevard.
  19. i think they will look hard at Mclung and Aquino because of their Arms. I don"t know if they are good Options but Greg is only 24. He's actually 29. And that's just plain sad. What can we package Aquino, Estrada, and Vargas for? Doug Davis and Dana Eveland? Also, Steve Bray had better get a very long look in the spring. He's done nothing but dominate in AAA and has been passed over for guys like McClung and Aquino, because they can throw in the upper 90's, but with little control.
  20. I'm pretty sure he meant Johan, not Ervin... Ervin would be very nice though.
  21. he led the team in hitting with .327 average Green hopes to start next season at the Brewers' AA team in Huntsville, Ala., and if he has his way he'll also be visiting Nashville, the home the Brewers' AAA team. Silly Victoria Times, conveniently forgetting that Lefave led the team in batting, and Green has to go through Brevard next year before getting to Huntsville. Still, great job this year for Taylor, just adding to our great 3B depth behind Braun, Heether, and Gamel. (and Dillon and Rottino, if you count them)
  22. Thanks for the link to the live game! Are any of the other games going to be shown there?
  23. I think all of my fears have been covered. I'm extremely shy and public speaking is definitely worse than death to me. I found out I was allergic to bees in 6th grade, so that's alwasy been a real fear (though I've been better about it in recent years. One of my phobias came to light today. I have a big fear of people getting upset with me (yeah, I probably have issues with an overbearing father). That one sounds about right for me too. I think it was growing up with a pair of fairly overbearing parents who screamed and fought with each other all the time. They were better during my early teen years, but their divorce when I was 15 was still probably the best thing they could have done for everybody involved. They're both a lot happier now, but probably too late, as that fear is way too ingrained in me by now.
  24. It might be apples to apples, and partially rotten ones at that, but I think I'd give DiFelice a shot over Dickey. Dickey has done well and might have earned a shot at the mop up role in the pen, but DiFelice has fairly dominated AA and AAA. In 119 innings, he has 119 Ks, 2.11 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, with only 9 homeruns and 14 walks. I'd say he's either earned a shot in September or will get one somewhere else next year.
  25. Apparently Luther Hackman is now with AAA Oklahoma, pitching against Nashville tonight.
