    My only thoughts are that a lot of you guys really missed a couple strong pitchers in Bramhall and Brae Wright. Bobby will be 24 this year and Brae is 25, so both those guys have the college experience that should put them in a position to contribute much sooner than a high school guy...otherwise list looks pretty much as expected by me.

    I haven't heard anything definite, but I did hear one Pirate higher up comment on that, and he seemed to indicate because of his "layoff" last year, he could possibly start in Low-A....like you said, even if only for a month or two, that would be pretty cool. I'm heading to FL in mid march to watch ball for a few days and will dig around to see what I can find out about him while I'm there for sure.

    I've seen 18 of my 20, and boy have I enjoyed it! It has been an amazing pipeline of talent through here while they were in WV. You guys better fill that park in Appleton or I'm gonna be really upset! We get the Pirate talent here in Charleston now...I just don't think it will compare.

    First off Rob didn't live with us here, we just helped him set up his apartment, and second, Rob doesn't harbor ANY ill feelings towards the Brewers that I am aware of. Even after listening to the interview I still feel that way. Sometimes you guys jump way to hard on things. I can however say that sometimes I think the Brewers handling of some of these guys medical needs has been somewhat odd, but that is based strictly on heresay from things I've heard the players discuss. I always thought that the Brewers were somewhat reluctant about taking arm health issues very seriously with the low A guys here. I always just figured they were reluctant to take these guys arm claims very serious since this is many players first full season and sore arms are I guess expected.

    Can somebody take me through the meaning of the line of stats? I guess I'm just learning the statistical art after really only following minor league ball for the last 3 or so years. More than anything, if anyone can compare and contrast the stat lines for Lucroy and Salome, it would help me greatly since this board rates Jonathan much higher than Angel defensively. Thanks for the "education"!

    I think both of these guys can be really something special, that being said, I'm sure with Lawrie added to the mix, someone will be trade fodder someday. As far as Angel's skills go, I think you still have to remember that he was coming off what was a pretty horrific ankle injury, especially given his position last year, so I would think his numbers continue to improve. He does have a cannon of an arm!

    I know every time I mention Lucroy in a post, someone gets angry with me, but I'll try again. Why draft Lucroy, and then Lawrie consecutively with Salome there too? My thoughts are that maybe one or both of those guys can see big league time before too much more time. That being said, do you develop Lawrie as a catcher for the future, which could mean Lucroy or Salome being traded, or do you "cross train" him somewhere else. My guess is he doesn't get switched, but he gets cross trained. He's real young, and the Brewers aren't real big on rushing a young catcher to the bigs in my opinion. Salome was what a 2004 draft pick? Lawrie will probably need time to adapt to the wooden bat, and I think realistically you don't switch positions on a guy that young because its gonna be a few years before he sniffs the bigs. I think that with a college kid, you might be looking at a different story. Plus, after watching Fryer here in Charleston last year, if he continues to hit he could be a quick mover. When he was on his big hitting streak, the only other guy I could compare him to in Charleston has been Braun. Sounds like we have a very good problem!

    Cain with another HR tonite! he is 1 for 1 in the forth inning...average up to .388!!! Is this guy finally due for the break out year and does he turn into Eric Davis? Be okay by me!!! Strikes out swinging in second ab...that's 5 HR in 50 ABs....

    I'm good with just about everything you guys say...but Bramhall dropping as much as he did when he put up a more than solid season? He is my sleeper pick to click for the coming season...he is just a very smart pitcher, who will be 24 this year...I think he's ready!

    Only hole I see in that is the "living with a host family" aspect. Players above rookie league, don't live with host families. They just "interact" with the host families to help them get settled in the new town and to assist them as the season goes along. I have been part of the host family program here in WV, and think your entire idea is EXTREMELY good! Something I had thought about submitting a story to MILB.com about my interactions here with the players...this year Rob Bryson was one of our players, and the way the whole CC Sabathia trade affected him was a truly incredible story that I don't think people realize. Go for it, and if I can offer you any insight or assistance, just let me know!

    I think maybe Brae Wright should get a little more "Prospect focus" as he has had a very solid season, and is experiencing great success in the AFL. Doesn't seem he gets talked about too much.
