My uncle works with head security for the Brewers and is part of the "bike" team. He told me a few weeks ago before the end of the season that they were going to be enforcing a stricter rule of "kicking" out the fans from the parking lot about 1 hour after the game. He said that there are many occassions where people will watch the game for a few innings, leave around the sixth inning and tailgate for three hours after the game, kind of making a bar out of the parking lot. This happened to me in fact in the Molitor lot one night. Game ended, I walked to the car with the kids and wife right after and the "kids" around us were literally all set up the same just like before the game. They had to have been there for at least 3 innings to have that much stuff already pulled out. I had my truck surrounded by chips, dip, and salsa tables with young girls leaning on my truck and shooting the breeze. I am pretty mild mannered and decided to just sit it out with the wife and kids cuz there was no way to get out of there with all those people around. They were too loaded to know that my vehicle wasn't a part of their tailgate. I left 1 hour and a half after the final pitch and they were still going strong..... Obviously the crowd at 11PM is a lot more "lubed up" than the crowds before the game so there is concern about safety in the parking lots. It costs money to police the large parking lots and the Brewers/MLB don't want any bad incidents happening at midnight after some Saturday game in an unsupervised lot where all the security has gone home.

We bought a general parking pass yesterday at Miller Park for Saturday's game for $20. I think you can get them anytime before game day.

I have never purchased Standing Room only seats before but I have 2 for game 1 of the NLDS that I bought this morning. Anyway, have any of you brewerfan.netters ever purchased SRO for a sellout game at Miller Park? Any recommendations on where to stand or where the ushers will allow you to stand? Can you stand on the Field Level along the concrete wall? (I kind of doubt it). The ticket person I talked to said you can stand anywhere, but I tend to think that isn't the case. How about being in Friday's for game day? I am the type of guy that has to see darn near every pitch, and I don't mind moving around between innings as long as there is a spot to stick my nose in for a half inning or so. Probably not possible though with the sell out crowd......

I waited in virutual lobby for 10 minutes, got selected but only scored 2 Standing Room only tickets for Game 1. I tried to get two more for another game and it said that the tickets were restricted from sales for this event at this time. Does anyone know how standing room only works? I don't go to a game unless I have a seat in the second level or lower, so I have no experience. I made an exception for this one though! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I won the lottery also to purchase tickets to games in the NLDS. It does say you have the "opportunity" to purchase tickets, etc, and that it is not guaranteed that you will get tickets. With that said in 2008, I was a partial season ticket holder and had tickets guaranteed, but does anyone here have a story or heard from someone that won the "lottery" in 2008 and wasn't able to get seats anyway? I plan on going online tomorrow morning but was just curious that even though I was lucky enough to have won the "lottery", are the chances of getting tickets still pretty bleak?

Kuroda/Carroll package deal?

"I don't believe Kuroda would accept a deal to Milwaukee" I would agree about this concern, but having Saito in a Brewer uniform might help a bit......perhaps? -
I posted about this yesterday in another thread in the Major League forum ("why do the Brewers hit so bad on the road"). Amazingly the 1987 Minnesota Twins won the World Series playing just over .333 on the road but destroyed teams in that dome at a .690 ish clip. Sound like a certain team? That Twins team went 85-77 to win their division......
