  1. A hit and run makes no sense in that situation.
  2. I get the thought of stealing there but to be thrown out by that much is awful.
  3. El Gary is as dumb of a nickname as his challenges.
  4. Nothing like being down a challenge two batters into the game. Thanks Gary.
  5. Not great when Joey Ortiz is one of your best offensive players lately.
  6. Our catchers might be worse at challenging balls and strikes than our DH is at hitting.
  7. I have no confidence in McCullers doing anything positive but I also know Koenig isn't a major league pitcher with his current stuff.
  8. Fastball right down the middle and he can't touch it.
  9. Fastball right down the middle and he can't touch it.
  10. I brought this up a couple months ago and got jumped on. Chourio has always swung at pitches outside the zone and it limits what he can become. If and until he learns to lay off some of those sliders out and fastballs way in, he's never going to become more than an .800ish OPS guy, which is fine, in the grand scheme of things really the least of our problems offensively but will leave you wanting more and wondering what he could become.
  11. As Chourio swings at a pitch about 4 inches inside and grounds into a double play to end it.
  12. Lara is in like his 5th game and already puts together better at bats than like 80% of our roster.
  13. Yelich out 5 straight reach base Frelick out So on brand
  14. We only gave up 15 runs in 4 games against the Dodgers in the NLCS last year.
  15. Anybody who watched him pitch and was being honest about it knew he wasn't. When they were saying oh he's low 90s in Nashville all I was thinking is that's not going to get it done in the majors and that is clearly the case.
  16. Based on how close the pitches are, it doesn't seem like the location of the pitch means anything to him either.
  17. 6/25/05 - Rickie Weeks and Prince Fielder hit their first big leagues homers as the Brewers come back to beat the Twins 7-6. 6/26/05 - Sawyer Strosnider is born. I remember that game. I was a month-ish from turning 18 and was outside grilling on the patio and I quick ran in when I heard Weeks hit a homer. The main point of this story is we are so old.
  18. It's probably going to have to come from the front office. Arnold was involved but didn't make the final say on signing him to that deal and it's easier for Murphy to say it's coming from Arnold since he's further removed from the team/clubhouse (though I doubt many in the clubhouse would be upset if you told them Yelich would be moved down in the order/lose playing time.)
  19. Okay Bauers by name, Bauers by reputation was actually legitimately funny.
  20. Koenig's stuff is not major league caliber. That junk belongs in Nashville.
