  1. The college pitching in this draft is crap.
  2. Ready for a total mind bleep? My cable currently has MLB, NBA, NHL Networks and Golf Channel but no NFL Network. Not missing much with the NFL network. I would trade that for the NHL or NBA networks. Oh yeah I know. I had NFL Network until a few weeks ago when there was a dispute and they got taken off the air.
  3. Why they have Harold Reynolds at the desk I have no idea. Eric Byrnes with the super bro best hitter I've ever seen since I've started following the draft is totally unnecessary too.

  5. If only it were that simple. Hopefully Wilkerson is on the upswing in terms of talent growth but he hasn't shown anything in the majors to suggest he'd be more effective than Peralta. He could be the AAAA player he's shown himself to be so far. Wilkerson has performed fine in MLB in limited opportunities. He just needs opportunities. He hasn't performed fine. If he had performed fine, he wouldn't be in the minors.
  6. Amen to that. Even petite, skinny wives are tough to hoist up as a shield that quickly. That's why I only date RealDolls™
  7. Am I the only one who’s been disappointed with how Guerra’s pitched out of the pen? Even when he wasn’t giving up runs it should be stuff that plays up and it just doesn’t.
  8. How about surplus value in the following years? The Brewers have to look at the future too. They don't have the cash nor the farm system to lose high end prospects for a 3 month rental. That is the following years. Now probably would be the time to go for it. The farm system sucks and most of the talent is in the low minors anyways. Might as well cash in for as much as you can and try to win in the next few years.
  9. Dodgers 9th inning against Edwin Diaz down 8-5. Homer Homer Double Double Intentional Walk Error (?) Slow grounder to Rosario and he was way late stepping on 2nd which allowed all runners to be safe, bases loaded. Sac Fly I guess the most Mets way to lose that game would've been a few more errors but that loss is pretty Mets.
  10. The problem is even if you are paying attention, a lot of people don't have the reaction time to get out of the way. Real Sports did a segment on this where they put people behind protective glass, told them a ball was coming and they still couldn't get out of the way. The only thing that stopped them from getting smashed in the face was that protective glass. A lot of people don't realize how quickly the ball gets on you. You're generally pretty far away from the batter's box and you think you have time to react and the ball doesn't really seem like it's coming that fast when it first leaves the bat. Then it starts to get closer and you realize how fast it's coming and how little time you have to react. Now, unlike that Real Sports segment where people know a ball is going to be coming at them at 90+ mph, you have people at an actual game that have no idea that a ball is going to be coming at them, they might be distracted by someone else getting out of their seat, they might be a child that can't see around an adult, there might be sun creating glare. There's just no reason not to have nets around the field at this point.
  11. Maybe ... maybe not. The only ones who truly know that work in the Nationals front office and scouting department. I think we can confidently say they would not. If I said we could offer Hernan Perez for Mike Trout would you say we don't truly know how the Angels front office would feel about that? Nobody knows but we can certainly make educated guesses and a pretty easy educated guess is that the Nats would say no to our second tier of prospects for Rendon.
  12. It would for us because I personally don't believe we have a second tier to choose from that would be at all enticing for the Nationals. Fixed ... unless you work in the Nats front office, then by all means, go with the original. I'm sure the Nats would be thrilled to get Corey Ray (still not a top 100 prospect btw) and Lucas Erceg for Rendon.

  14. Marcum or Guerra? Edit-Scratch that, I think I remember who it was. I believe it was a pitcher who originally started his career with another NL Central team? The Brewers were his only NL Central team. Damn. There goes my Jeff Suppan guess.
  15. They showed another angle from the 3rd base side on the Phillies broadcast and it wasn't just Moose having a simple conversation with him. He was barking pretty good and it was the middle of the inning. And the umpire told him several times to stop. Have no problem with the ejection.
  16. It's been almost 2 years since our last complete game and would be another confidence builder for a guy who is really breaking out as a star right now. I get not want to overwork him but they should have let him finish, a 1 hitter is still pretty cool. He was only at 95 pitches with no stress involved. So overworking shouldn't even be a factor. At least give him the chance to finish.
