  1. You are ridiculous. Extend everybody! Because we totally have that kind of money. Please don't mention the national TV deal either because that is not nearly enough.
  2. Bledsoe I could get behind because he's really good and only 24. Vasquez I don't get at all. If you want another PG (I don't unless it's Bledsoe or Lin + assets), just sign Sessions.
  3. You don't know if you're signing for market value unless you actually hit the market.
  4. Wang has nothing to do with it because Smith would still be pitching in all of these close games because, ya know, 8th inning guy.
  5. This is exactly why the Cubs plan wont work and they wont be able to get good pitching. Price will go to a team that will re-sign him and prevent him from even going to FA. That's how much money is in MLB right now. Why would price sign when he's already as close as he is to free agency?
  6. Uhh, no, because you typically get those players at the top of the draft.
  7. Man it looks like he slid under the tag. Side note: I hate the new home plate collision rule. You can't block the plate, unless this happens, then you can, but you usually can't. So annoying.
  8. They're trying to acquire as many young assets as they can. They can then flip those assets for pitching or if it comes down to it, they have the money to go to the free agent market if necessary.
  9. I'm going to be pissed if we bring in any free agents. There is no need to bring any in.
  10. There is a point where there's nothing else a player can work on in the minors and Nelson is pretty close to that point.
  11. Pretty damn awesome line for a guy known for his defense, only 19 years old and playing in an awful hitters park, especially for right handed hitters.

  13. Don't like Kintzler coming in. Yes he gets ground balls but the Jays are probably going to bunt, which likely moves runners to 2nd and 3rd in which case you would want a strikeout pitcher out there and Kintzler is our worst strikeout pitcher.
  14. Not saying it's right...but he probably thinks he can push it with all the days off this week. That would be the reason to take him out. You would leave him in if you had a stretch of 20 straight.
  15. Wait, 106 pitches while not pitching that great and you're leaving him in?!?
  16. [sarcasm]BUT IT'S SO DIFFERENT BECAUSE BRAUN LIED.[/sarcasm] Yea, Cabrera was honest at least. He got his from a website, and that seems legit. Didn't he create a fake website to say that's where he got it from and the investigators found out he was part of making/getting the idea for making a fake website?
  17. And Kidd did less than either of them in NJ with more talent. I'm not saying I'm really excited about Kidd's hiring, I just wanted to point out that Drew was terrible. If Kidd develops the young players, I'll be happy. That's what we need in a market like this and Drew pretty clearly wasn't the guy to develop young players.
  18. He did less with Atlanta than Mike Woodson did and nobody considers Woodson a good coach.
  19. Please tell me I'm not the only one seeing the incredible irony in this. viewtopic.php?f=63&t=29536&start=120
  20. As far as feeling bad for Drew about how this was handled. http://blogs.ajc.com/hawks/2012/03/30/atlanta-hawks-mike-woodson-larry-drew-not-on-speaking-terms/
  21. Just because there was a lack of offensive talent doesn't excuse the lack of sets. Having Giannis, a tall, athletic guy who's a good passer basically standing there when he was on the court did nothing for his development or help the offense at all.
  22. Run any semblance of an offense besides have Knight dribble for 20 seconds before firing up a shot or passing to somebody with almost no time left. That would've been a good start.
  23. Bringing in Kidd would be a complete disaster.

  25. About that.
