Fiers' curveball is big and loopy but it's certainly not a swing and miss pitch and it's definitely not one of the best curveballs ever from a Brewers pitcher. It's not even Fiers' best offspeed pitch. Gallardo has a far better curve than Fiers. Greinke had a far better one when he was here as well. I love Fiers for what he is, a cheap mid rotation starter who can give you 200 innings a year but he's not a possible 1-2 imo and he doesn't have one of the best curveballs in the majors.

Saw highlights a couple days ago of Man City's game with Southampton and they were just terrible. First goal for Southampton was good. Second goal consisted of Joe Hart having an easy save, dropping the ball which resulted in it going behind him and an easy tap in goal for Southampton. Third goal was Barry literally kicking it in his own net. Sometimes you get own goals and it's off a deflection or whatever but this was a cross on the ground right to Barry's feet with no one around him and instead of clearing it for a corner or turning and clearing it down the field he thinks the best idea is to tap it towards the goal, right in the corner away from where Hart is. And the first Champions League Round of 16 Legs were today. Juventus beat Celtic 3-0 in Scotland so they should advance and Paris Saint Germain beat Valencia 2-1 in Spain, so they have a pretty good shot of advancing. Madrid and United tomorrow at 1:45 Central Time and Shakhtar Donetsk takes on Borussia Dortmund in Ukraine at the same time.

I doubt a shot from halfcourt going sideways when you go to shoot it even has a 3% chance of going in. I doubt it's even a 1% of going in.

3-1... 7 points? I'm confused. Southampton is 7 points ahead of the 18th place team which would put them in relagation territory. In other words, a bad loss to a team Man City should beat.

Well, give United the title again because the only team that could catch them just lost to 7 points from relegation Southampton. Seems like every week United is playing a Premier League bottom feeder. After Everton their next 5 are (20th) QPR, (14th) Norwich City, 11th (West Ham United), (17th) Reading and (13th) Sunderland. Ugh.

You know this is easy to look up. From 2010. From 2011 And he had him ranked the 39th best prospect in baseball in the beginning of 2012. You guys who think Law is just being biased against the Brewers are ridiculous, what he's saying is spot on. There are a lot of mid to back of the rotation starters and maybe a couple of starters on the position player side but there is no monster upside potential superstar like a Braun or a Trout in the system.

That was an amazing comeback and Cody Zeller completely lost his man. There is no way you can allow a wide open layup with .9 seconds left.

Am I the only one who doesn't care? Didn't care about Cabrera doing them, don't care about A-Rod. Just don't care about PED's at all. If they want to use them, fine.

The military bands do it "right." It's brisk and doesn't drag at all. Yeah, my dad was in the Navy and Vietnam and whenever we would go to a sporting event when the singer of the anthem kept dragging it on you could see him start to get really frustrated and rolling his eyes and stuff. You don't need to put your own variation on the song. That's why I hate going to concerts and stuff. They always try to add a new twist to their song but it just makes it worse and unbearable to me.

I think Keith Law does a pretty good job. He just values high upside potential more than other guys and doesn't place a lot of emphasis on depth.

I can't really watch any all-star game for more than a few minutes. It's a lot of players from teams I don't like playing with a couple of guys on a team I do like. I do love skills competitions though. The NFL should add that. Have Rodgers, Brees, Manning etc. try to throw a ball through a hoop 50 yards away or something.
