  1. Other than Aoki and maybe bringing back Coffey I only see minor league signings.

  3. This team is one of the more entertaining Bucks teams in the last 5-10 years. It's amazing how bad they are and it's pretty funny to watch.
  4. I don't think he needs a ticket as long as he sits on your lap.
  5. I think stayed up until 1 AM watching TV. I was going to turn on the New Years Eve show thingy at like 11:55 but lost track of time and only remembered at around 12:30. I win the lame-off.
  6. Funketown wrote: I enjoy getting my lineups 3-4 hours before the games from Tom H, so I'm hoping I can still access his blog without paying a fee. It includes the blogs too but you don't even need the blog for the lineups. TH or McCalvy usually tweets the lineup at the same time they post the blog or before.
  7. hawing wrote: Edit: Found it - thanks, Google: If you enter JSOnline.com through a link on Facebook or Twitter, you may read that single article and it will not count against the monthly limit of 20 articles. And this is what makes this whole thing stupid. If you read JSOnline, you obviously have the internet, so why not make a twitter account or whatever, follow your favorite writers and wait until they post their articles on twitter? Unless they aren't going to post them on twitter anymore or are going to limit how much they post on twitter. That's what I'm going to do, just use my twitter account for these articles.
  8. Stevo wrote: Am I missing something? What's this talk about Adam LaRoche at first for the Nationals? Mike Morse had a .910 OPS last year. Are they moving him to the outfield to make room for Adam Freaking LaRoche? It's not like they have anything in LF. Last year they had Roger Bernadina, Laynce Nix (signed with Phillies I believe), Jonny Gomez (free agent I think and not better than LaRoche anyways), Jerry Hairston (signed with Dodgers) and Brian Bixler in LF. Morse in left and LaRoche at 1st is their best option currently.
  9. Nashville Predators Green Bay Packers Milwaukee Bucks (sort of) Wisconsin Badgers
  10. Baldkin wrote: They scored 65 points, that should be more than enough for this Wisconsin team to beat Iowa. Their defense was terrible, utterly terrible, and Jordan Taylor didn't show up at all. As an aside, I believe that was the first time (when I wasn't working there) that the Badgers lost a home game at the Kohl Center that I attended. They shot 32% overall and 9.7% from 3 (on 31 attempts!). How can anyone blame the defense more than the offense in this game?
  11. point was if we want to talk about trading prospects for other prospects, it took the #1 prospect in all of baseball to get a prospect pitcher who peaked as a #2. In 2007 BA had Young rated as the #3 prospect in baseball. They had Garza rated as #21. The Rays also got Jason Bartlett and Eduardo Morlan while they gave up Brendan Harris and Jason Pridie. So basically they got a decent starting SS in addition to Garza for Young. That seems pretty fair. They got lucky in that the #1 prospect amounted to nothing. Can you imagine if Melvin did the same thing? Trading a player like Fielder or Braun for a player like Garza? Geez, you're making it sound like Garza was a garbage prospect. For reference, Prince topped out at #10 in BA's list. Greinke topped out at #14. Gallardo topped out at #16. Garza topped out at #21.
  12. He gave up being a Wisconsin fan but he has season tickets to the Bucks whose coach is most like Bo Ryan in the NBA.
  13. He doesn't play because of his stone hands on offense and because he jumps at everything on defense. Pump fake and he's 50 feet in the air.
  14. Corn Trader wrote: Playoff hockey is really awesome, but no one wants to watch Carolina play San Jose on a random January night. Uhh, same can be said about the NBA or even MLB. Nobody wants to watch Milwaukee play Memphis on a random January night. Nobody wants to watch Oakland play Baltimore on a random June night.
  15. It's not weird. There are plenty of Brewers fans that are Bears fans, plenty of Cubs fans that are Packers fans etc.
  16. Terez Owens is a name spoof of Perez Hilton. Terez concentrates on sports gossip.
  17. Pretty obvious they're naming the foul poles the Kohl's Poles.
  18. Not Bucks related but they just played the Wolves so I'll put this here. Why the hell did they sign Barea? He's a terrible player and they already had Ridnour and Rubio, far better players. All they're doing is taking away minutes from them and giving them to Barea.
  19. Kelbysdaddy wrote: he played really well last year before his broken collarbone. He hit .220/.270/.378/.648 before he broke his collarbone. This thread happens every offseason with Gomez. We get about half the posters saying he's a good defender with a horrible bat that's okay if he's being platooned facing only left handed pitchers and then we get the other half saying they think Gomez will break out next year. It's time to face the facts, he's not going to break out.

  21. FWIW, Narron sounds pretty excited about working with and having Gamel as the 1B.
  22. I'm not saying you did anything wrong Patrick. This is like the second time BREWCREW5 has complained about what was being discussed in a thread. If he wants to change the topic than post something or just ignore it. Don't complain about the topic being discussed.
  23. I think the Reds overpaid, again. I wouldn't give up Wood for Marshall straight up and they apparently added two prospects.
  24. BREWCREW5 wrote: Well, this thread has officially taken a turn for the worst, which is saying a lot. Well you're certainly doing all you can to make it better.
