  1. Fiers out of the game after two innings. Don't know why but they said Fiers looked unhappy about it.
  2. Not in Europe. You just have to offer a player in Europe their qualifying offer after each season if you want to keep their rights. We did this with Ersan.
  3. In order to keep a player on your D League team you have to sign him and have him count against your 15 man roster. If you don't have him count against your 15 man roster, any team can sign him which would happen.
  4. We already have a full 15 man roster. We can't sign anybody without a 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 trade.
  5. Glad they finally got a backup PG. Really wish we didn't sign Gooden. I would've been fine with Ersan/LRMAM/Sanders/Brockman at PF.
  6. 2B Rickie Weeks RF Corey Hart LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder 3B Casey McGehee CF Jim Edmonds C Jonathan Lucroy SS Alcides Escobar LHP Chris Capuano I despise you, Ken Macha.
  7. Valentin was a pretty damn good defender so I'm not sure why you're making that comparison. Some of the plays that McGehee would make, Gamel would throw away. Some of the plays Gamel would make, McGehee wouldn't have a chance to get to due to his awful range. I'm guessing Gamel would get to more balls than McGehee over the course of a season by a good amount and that McGehee's more steady arm wouldn't be able to make up for it.
  8. Gamel has much better range than McGehee, but doesn't make the best throws. I'll take the range and live with the throwing errors.
  9. I'm pretty sure I could strikeout as many batters as Nick Blackburn given the same number of innings. Moving him here with our defense will make him worse.
  10. Then his defense would probably suffer. I was one who thought he would be awful since he was the last time he played. Maybe the year off last year helped as well as the platoon instead of playing everyday.
  11. Awesome. Three at bats, three absolute rockets by Cain.
  12. Grammar. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. CAIN! Making the Gomez trade dumber every day. First major league hit is in his home state. Awesome.
  14. I've never seen a first baseman who is holding a runner on first let balls go down the line as much as Fielder.
  15. Good thing Gomez has all that speed to prevent double plays. That now makes 8 on the year. Second on the team behind Braun who has 10 in 150 more at bats.
  16. Braun has an .824 OPS and .364 wOBA with awful defense. Edmonds has a .769 OPS and .341 wOBA with good defense. It's not really surprising that Edmonds is more valuable this year than Braun.
  17. I would agree after reading this. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. Braun walks to load the bases with no one out, Fielder swings at the first pitch and grounds into a double play. He's been pathetic with runners on this year.
  19. I didn't see this "in person" but Reid Brignac was just playing 2B, had a ground ball hit to him, Pena ranged too far and couldn't get back to 1st and Balfour wasn't there either so Brignac had to run from 2nd to touch 1st base, just barely beating Jeter to the base.
  20. Agreed. Specifically Neshotah Park. It's a nice park for kids and you can just take the path right to a pretty big beach that usually isn't terribly crowded.
