  1. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. GET RID OF CARLOS GOMEZ!!!!!!! I'm sorry, I just can't stand watching him anymore. Neither can TH.
  2. They don't have to overpay, they choose to overpay. That's a huge difference.
  3. Take two pitches right down the middle and swing at the pitch in the dirt. I <3 Gomez.
  4. I think the Astros have doubled their season HR total tonight.
  5. The bat flipping annoys me too. He has just always annoyed me and has the look of a gigantic tool.
  6. Nice job by Braun swinging at ball 3, 4, 5 and 6.
  7. Deep into left is a relative term, Brian. That ball didn't even go 300 feet.
  8. I believe that will help Weeks' UZR. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. Dany Heatley is the best. Plays for the Sharks. Joe Pavelski - Sharks Rene Bourque - Flames Adam Burish - Stars Chris Chelios - Thrashers (he's old though and is a fringe NHL player right now) Jake Dowell - Blackhawks (fringe NHL player) Davis Drewiske - Kings Robbie Earl - Wild Brian Elliott - Senators Tom Gilbert - Oilers Jamie McBain - Hurricanes Joe Piskula - Kings Steve Reinprecht - Panthers Jack Skille - Blackhawks Ryan Suter - Predators Brad Winchester - Blues Kyle Turris - Coyotes I'm probably forgetting a few.
  10. Hart is back. 2B Rickie Weeks RF Corey Hart LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder 3B Casey McGehee C Jonathan Lucroy CF Carlos Gomez SS Alcides Escobar LHP Manny Parra
  11. Yep. It would suck to lose Lawrie, but if we can get Pineda for him, I'd do it and not think twice about it.
  12. How? It's not like we're chasing the Astros for the division. Now if the Cardinals traded Carpenter or Wainwright for this package, you might have a point.
  13. Is Capps even going to close? It's not like Rauch has been bad.
  14. Here's my question. What teams have good, young MLB pitchers who are under control for at least a few more years, are willing to trade them for what is very likely a one year rental, can pay that rental upwards of $15 million next year and find a replacement starter either by a trade (costing them even more prospects/MLB players) or find another decent starter on the free agent market which will also cost at least a few million?
  15. Because I don't think the major league pitching they will be able to acquire will be better than the prospects or the upside of prospects they could acquire. Obviously those prospects might not pan out, but I'd take the chance on that.
  16. Too bad for Edmonds. If the Brewers get a trade that makes sense for him, then do it. It's not like Edmonds has a no trade clause. He knew when he came back there was a possibility he could be traded.
  17. Where in my post was I eliminating a whole group of players?
  18. This. And this kind of thinking annoys me as well. I want the best package available. I don't care where the players are. If we get a major league ready guy that has the upside of Dave Bush or a guy in A ball with the upside of Gallardo, which would you take? Major league pitching means jack unless it's good major league pitching, which I doubt we will get, so in that case, take the best collection from the minors that you can.
  19. I'm sorry, but I want some of the crack the Brewers are smoking.
