  1. Brantley has a .691 OPS, .303 wOBA, .368 BABIP, a -33.8 UZR/150 in CF and has been a -0.3 WAR player since he has been called up. Obviously it's a small sample, but there's no way he would be ready offensively or defensively next year.
  2. I went to a Royals forum, they were talking about this and some were hoping to hire him as the third base coach. Look up the name of their first base coach and you'll see why it's so funny.
  3. Link Starts at the 8:45 mark of the interview.
  4. Well isn't that lovely?
  5. 2B Felipe Lopez 3B Craig Counsell LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder CF Mike Cameron RF Jody Gerut SS Alcides Escobar C Jason Kendall RHP Braden Looper Words cannot describe (actually they can, I'd just be banned) how much I hate Ken Macha.
  6. Well according to Anthony Witrado, Ryan Braun is a possibility. That would definitely be a sleeper.
  7. http://media.jsonline.com/images/375*239/mjs-olympics-3ofx-wood.jpg The disbelief on all of their faces is hilarious.
  8. Oh yes, and since we all enjoy seeing sad Chicagoans. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2009-10/49619732.jpg
  9. According to wikipedia, these are potential bidders for the 2020 games. Cape Town, South Africa Durban, South Africa Rabat, Morocco Busan, South Korea Delhi, India Doha, Qatar Dubai, United Arab Emirates Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Baku, Azerbaijan Istanbul, Turkey Romagna, Italy Rome, Italy St. Petersburg, Russia Warsaw, Poland Toronto, Canada Guadalajara, Mexico Monterrey, Mexico Birmingham, Alabama Denver, Colorado Boston, Massachusetts Detroit, Michigan Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Lima, Peru
  10. Not to take the thread off topic, but Lawrie did just fine as a teenager in Low A. His OPS was 15th in the league.
  11. I didn't hear that. Would they really have events as far away as Minneapolis?
  12. It's already guaranteed that the Madison area will be part of the Olympics if Chicago gets it.
  13. 14. We're tied with the White Sox, but since we had a better record than them last year we get the lower pick. The highest we could get to is 11th. Cincinnati is one game behind us with three home games with Pittsburgh remaining. Toronto is two games behind us with three games at Baltimore remaining and Oakland will be either one or two games behind us depending on if they beat Seattle tonight with three games at home against Los Angeles. Also, we need to get the score changed. The final was 9-2, not 10-2. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. I can't see Weeks being dealt after missing almost the whole season with an injury. His value would be so low. I don't really expect any sleeper trades. I think they'll shop Hardy and Hart for pitching, maybe Fielder.
  15. I think Madrid is out due to London getting the 2012 games. Don't see them having it in Europe back to back. Beijing had 2008, so I don't see Tokyo getting it. Brazil is getting the 2014 World Cup which is huge world wide so Rio might be out. Overall I think it comes down to Chicago and Rio with Chicago winning.
  16. Congrats to the Rockies. I hope they win the World Series.
  17. He needs to be more like he is on his twitter page than he is in chats. Most of his tweets are absolutely hilarious. These are just from the last day.
  18. Well hey, how about that? Gamel comes in, takes some pitches with a tight strike zone and draws a walk. What a concept! Your reward, bench for the rest of the season.
  19. Just looked it up. Cook has 66 pitches, 40 for strikes, only 7 of the strikes Cook has thrown have been called strikes.
  20. The Brewers are swinging at everything. Cook has something like 65 pitches through 6 innings.
  21. I kicked a (insert animal here that nobody would care that I kicked because it's so ugly.) Seriously, if Gamel doesn't get an at bat in this game I'm going to be furious.
  22. To be fair to Manny (and McClung for that matter) this strike zone has been a joke all day. Seriously, they're replaying the game at 7 tonight. For those who aren't watching, watch it tonight for a few innings and get a look at the strike zone. It will make you feel better about all the walks.
  23. Would've been nice if Braun would've actually hustled after that ball.
  24. I vividly remember Cameron dropping a ball that would've been the third out in game one, but instead allowed the Phillies to score three runs. Using your logic, that would mean Cameron is a bad defender as well and has a lot to prove to you.
