  1. If Cameron proves to be too expensive for us, I wouldn't mind going after Coco Crisp. That was a pretty good suggestion that I haven't heard mentioned.

  3. These games have been some of the most dramatic I can ever remember in the playoffs. Usually there's a few dramatic games in the playoffs, but nearly every game in the playoffs this year has been. It's incredibly fun to watch.
  4. Drew Olson was the cause of the rumor when he proposed it to TH, then this blogger said that he had "sources" that said the trade was "imminent". I have no problem with that blogger being ripped on. I don't have a problem writing a blog about it and discussing the pros and cons of doing the deal from either side, but to say it's imminent and already agreed upon is stupid.
  5. Maybe they're trying to decide when Herb Kohl bobblehead day is?
  6. Tom Pipines is a hack.
  7. Oh I agree, but it's just terrible as a fan and I'm sure as a player as well to have the game end in a tie. They do shootouts in the pros, why not college? It adds what, maybe 10 minutes to the game for the time it takes the zamboni to come out and do the strip down the middle of the ice and then three or five shooters. I'd be pissed as a fan if I went to a game that ended in a tie.
  8. What a stupid play. Just take the easy out at first.
  9. Oh yes, because if there's nothing worse than listening to Joe Buck and Tim McCarver, it would be reading their posts on twitter.
  10. Joe Buck: "He doesn't miss much." Referring to Jeter who looked at the runner going to third base before he threw it to first that every other SS in that situation would do but it's more awesome because Jeter is awesome and Jeter did it which is awesome but I said it really because this game is really long and I'm running out of things to say. Oh look at me now, saying I ran out of things to say and here I am rambling on and on and on. No commas necessary for that post.
  11. All this sacrifice bunting by the Angels is driving me crazy.
  12. "Look at how fast Abreu got the ball back in knowing Jeter was the baserunner." Ugh. Will somebody fire Tim McCarver (and Joe Buck too) already?
  13. I'm thinking of making pumpkin pi. http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/5348138/339416_Full.jpg

  15. It's mind boggling. It would suck to play baseball in that weather. I can't imagine it was due to money. They probably wanted the new stadium to resemble the old stadium as much as possible.
  16. See? What an unclutch scrub. Edit again: I should be hired by FOX to be the color commentator. Brutal honesty combined with wit and analysis. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. Angels lead! Fuentes sucks so he'll probably blow it. Edit: A-Rod is leading off the 11th, so that will be an easy first out for Fuentes at the very least.
  18. It actually happened a couple times. One was against the Cubs, playing the Rockies I believe, I can't remember the other teams where it happened, but that was much more blatant than this one and in the other ones they were still called out.
  19. I know he didn't technically touch the base, but who calls it there, honestly? How many times during a series is a SS or 2B "close enough" to the base where the runner ends up being called out just because they were "close enough"?
  20. And Jeter strikes out. Have to say I enjoyed his error and strikeout.
  21. Oh noez! Mr. October Derek Jeter made an error! I bet A-Rod farted and the smell blew over and made Jeter bobble the ball. Edit: Looks like Scioscia doesn't want to take advantage of the error as he's now bringing in Gary Matthews Jr. to pinch hit for Mike Napoli.
  22. Anybody else as annoyed as I am with games ending as a tie? There's nothing more dissatisfying as a fan than watching your team only to have it end in a tie. College hockey would be so much better to me if they had a shootout if the game was still tied after overtime. Anyways, terrible start to the Badgers season. Get a two goal lead in the first game and choke it away losing 3-2 and now they tie. One point at home against a team that's supposed to be worse than us. I still hate this crap offense that Eaves runs.
  23. Lorenzo Cain also leading off and Lucroy batting 8th. Gameday link.
  24. He was probably trying to get away from his crazy parents.
