    I totally agree with you. I'd add McClung to that list as well, let Heether take over for Counsell (unlikely, I know.) Actually the whole thing seems unlikely.

    Because his OBP is jealous of Johnny Estrada's.

    Not when you have options who can pitch as well as him for $400K. Obviously I would try to trade him first, but he's declined every year since he's been here and we now have options that are just as good as him so there's no reason to spend that $4+M on him.

    But you could also see the $4.5+M of Hardy traded and replaced with the $500K of Escobar and then Kendall and possibly Weathers replaced with cheaper and better options.

    None of those three are going to get huge raises. Fielder is only get a $4M raise as well.
