  1. Knicks preparing a four year MLE offer worth $26.5 million for Sessions. That should be matched although it's concerning that the Knicks think the Bucks won't match it.
  2. I'd probably prefer him to Halladay. Assuming the Padres are still in salary dump mode I would imagine he could be had for less than Halladay.
  3. I wouldn't mind Penny, depending on the price. The Red Sox want a B prospect for him. That's far too much imo for a guy who isn't a type A or B free agent and isn't likely to gain that status and a guy who has injury concerns.
  4. He gave hand signs but forgot he was on the radio.
  5. Yeah. Just amazing comments to me. I didn't like Yost, but at least he didn't waste our top prospects on the bench.
  6. Fangraphs on the trade. I pretty much agree. It's a small offensive upgrade for us, not much more. This deal all hinges on whether we get a pick for Lopez for me.
  7. Thanks, I already agreed with that. But like it or not, if this trade happens it's going to be judged on if/how far the Brewers make it in the playoffs. They can't just fall back and say the trade was a success if they make the playoffs since they just made it.
  8. I agree, but I think you have to look at it that way. There is no "playoff drought" anymore for the Brewers, so you can't lean back on that and say "well at least we made the playoffs this year." If this trade happens, with what we'll have to give up, it will be judged on if and how far we do make it if we make the playoffs. As well it should be.
  9. I think that includes his Padres stats since his Brewers stats are awful. I looked at every one of his plate appearances since the trade on gameday. This is how they were classified. 6 strikeouts 12 groundouts 3 grounded into double plays (so 15 total groundouts) 8 popouts 3 lineouts 2 flyouts 1 sac fly 4 singles 3 walks And he's averaging a pathetic 3.23 pitches per plate appearance. He's been as awful as his numbers have looked.
  10. Tom Haudricourt was on Brewers 360 today. He said the Brewers getting Halladay is "unlikely" due to the cost in prospects and went on to say that if they do get Halladay, the playoffs aren't good enough. It has to be a World Series. Just a small update.
  11. That actually makes a lot of sense. I'm sure the Red Sox wouldn't mind picking up a good SS as well as help move Halladay out of their division.
  12. Me too. It's just so unrealistic though. I think any Halladay deal would start with Escobar and Lawrie. Halladay is a top 5 pitcher in baseball at worst and is signed through next year.
  13. I'm pretty sure Heether could put up a .730 OPS, which is what Lopez is at for his career.
  14. This also could've been accomplished by simply adding Heether to the 40 man roster and sending Gamel down.
  15. If they have it posted, it will likely be here.
  16. Mack McGehee. That's a baseball name if I've ever heard one.
  17. It's a mutual option. Even if the Brewers exercise his 2010 option, he can opt out of it. If the Brewers decline it, he gets a $750,000 buyout that goes up to $1 million if he starts 30 games or throws 180 innings.
  18. Dang. I thought for sure Brian would have the value to head a Halladay package. I guess we have to settle for Garland or Davis.
  19. Parra has 105 pitches. Why the heck is he batting here?
  20. It really doesn't make sense to try it. Any offer for Halladay starts with one of those two, likely Escobar.
  21. But he is a contact hitter, which you said he wasn't.
  22. He's struck out 139 times in nearly 900 at bats for a K% of 15.5%. How is that not a contact hitter?
