  1. Gadz and Redd come off in two years. So we have to wait until 2011. And yes, this is a financial move. Bowen and Oberto will be waived and probably go back to San Antonio. Bowen sucks anyways, so I don't want him.
  2. But the Cubs also only played at Miller Park six times last year and will play there nine this year. Also, every weekend game from now until the end of the season is sold out. Now that school's out, we're going to be getting more than we would normally get for weekday games as well. Plus the Twins games are going to be three sellouts as well and the Cubs series at the end of the year at Miller Park is a Monday-Wednesday series so that's three more sellouts. So that's 22 more guaranteed sellouts. Let's assume those 22 sellouts average 42,000, that brings it up to 2,088,981 with 28 games remaining. Average 35,000 with the remaining 28 games and attendance on the year is 3,068,981 compared to 3,068,458 last year.
  3. He had a career BB% of 9.2%. I don't know the exact numbers, but my guess is that's at least major league average and more than likely above average.
  4. It wasn't the Nats' fault. Perez signed a minor league deal, then after he signed it he complained about it and wanted a major league deal, so they got rid of him. I'd take him though, as long as he comes cheap.
  5. I don't think the Brewers are or should be interested in Pedro. He's just not very good anymore. A minimal upgrade at best imo. And like Melvin said, you wouldn't sign a guy you can't watch. It'd be like buying a house without looking at it first.
  6. Huntsville leading 7-2 in the 5th. Green with a homer and 3 RBI's. Melillo 3-3.
  7. I don't think anybody would have a problem if the Brewers actually got to use all 27 outs, but that's not likely to happen tonight and that's crap. If that means stopping the game tonight and resuming with the same score tomorrow, that's fine. But this rule is complete crap. We're down three runs, we're hitting the ball well, we have a good bullpen so we might be able to stop the Tigers offense and we're not even going to be able to use all of our outs. Let's say you just completed the 5th inning and you're down 3-2. They could call the game with your team only down one run with 12 outs to make up that run. That's a bunch of crap. There should be better rules regarding this.
  8. Wisconsin game postponed. Nashville up on Oklahoma City 6-0 after 3. The only players without hits are Bourgeois, Escobar (he's been hit by a pitch and walked) and Gillespie. Edit: Bourgeois doubles, so take his name off the list.
  9. Yes. There's probably 5-8 feet of space between the wall and the bleachers where that ball would have to land. The umpiring is ridiculously awful. Looper imploding, 7-4, now we're in a rain delay. Hopefully it keeps raining and we have to replay it later.
  10. It's a TWC problem. I have U-Verse and I'm still getting FSN.
  11. There were some spots in the Milwaukee area that got 4-5 inches of rain overnight. On the radio this morning they said the sewers overflowed and the water went into the loading docks and flooded the service area.
  12. That picture is extremely close to where my seats were. A section to the right in the sixth row was where I was.
  13. Severe T-Storm warning for me. Constant lightning and the loudest thunder I've ever heard.
  14. I see lightning in Hartland.
  15. I'm up for a stormy chat if anybody else wants to. I can give you minute by minute updates. 10:19: I hear crickets and see a raccoon. No rain in the vicinity.
  16. It's not that creative. Anybody can steal a nickname given to a player. Somebody on this website came up with that nickname for him soon after he was called up.
  17. Bourgeois with the walk-off single to score Gillespie off former Brewer Jose Capellan, who drops to 1-8.
  18. Does anybody want to tell me why Parra threw 114 pitches on three days rest? There doesn't appear to be any good reason for that.
  19. Well now I'm pretty disappointed that I didn't use at least one strike. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  20. I think using the word patient in a sentence with Hart is funny. Carry on. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. I haven't shaved in about a week, I could help you out.
