    Well yeah, I understand that but your title specifically talks about boosting team OBP. Going from Fielder to Giambi barely does anything. Now if Abreu was signed and Hart was traded then we would get an OBP boost.

    If we sign Giambi and his .379 OBP and then trade Prince and his .372 OBP we're going to have a very slight upgrade. The only option to improve team OBP in this scenario would be to sign Abreu and trade Hart.

    A ton. Assuming Branyan is starting for Hall like I explained in my scenario then Gross becomes the #1 pinch hit option off the bench ahead of Counsell. He could also give Cameron and Hart days off against tough righties. I believe Cameron has missed a few games with nagging injuries this year, he provides value there etc.
