    The funny thing is, for the most part, the Brewers have had good at bats today. Harden was going away (which is probably part of the game plan with the wind) and the Brewers are hitting it where it's pitched but once it gets into the wind the ball gets knocked down and are fairly routine outs. Frustrating to be sure.

    That's pretty much spot on. He had some good swings and if there was no wind the ball he hit in play would have been a grand slam.

    Bill: Harden really saving his best stuff for Corey Hart. Maybe it's that, or maybe Hart just completely sucks right now and has for most of the second half.

    If not gotten out, I certainly think it would've gone off the wall. Theriot hit a ball well in the first and the wind knocked it down too.

    Counsell sucks. Swung at ball four and swung at another pitch that would've been a ball.

    Hey, three walks in the inning, Hart takes a called strike and then swings at two pitches out of the zone and strikes out. Fantastic!

    Play was in the hole towards first base. DeRosa tried to make an off balance throw to second to get Durham but Durham turned towards right field to make the throw almost impossible. It hit Durham and bounced towards shortstop.

    He's in his prime and played in the minors where he was terrible. He's not getting any better. If we want to get a Cubs middle infielder I'd much rather go after Mike Fontenot. Left handed bat with some pretty good pop and a nice OBP.

    On the same subject. Those cash4gold.com commercials are horrible. Just brutally forced acting. In fact, I'm not sure you can call that acting. I've seen middle schoolers act better than that.

    Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't mind giving up our first rounder, but not for a reliever. If we want to go the free agent route there are plenty of decent relievers available that wouldn't cost us a draft pick. David Weathers, Jeremy Affeldt and Brandon Lyon come to mind.

    Ryan Theriot really isn't that good. His ISO is .055, he's batting .306 this year but his BABIP is .339. Last year it was a more normal .289 and he was pathetic last year, carrying only a .672 OPS. There's not much projection left with him either, he's going to be 29 in December.
