  1. Wasn't Jeffress promoted to Huntsville?
  2. Nobody thinks he hurts the team when he's on the field. Just when he's in the batters box. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. Ned: "What's going on, Ben? You don't seem to have your best stuff working today." Ben: "I just have a little bit of a cold. It's no big deal." Ned: "Alright, I got some Vick's VapoRub in my office. I can give you some if you want it." Ben: Sure, I'll have some. Ned: "Why isn't the Vick's VapoRub working? I'm applying it just like the directions said."
  4. You just described Branyan yet he also has the power aspect working for him.
  5. Well then, you're not going to like me (not that I would want to date you) because I was listening to Already Gone during a Tequila Sunrise at Hotel California. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  6. 15 games over 500, highpoint thus far? Nope. They were 16 games over .500 after they swept the Cardinals and again after they beat Houston. That's 5 hits for Ben this year, isn't it? That's got to be a career high... It's actually only a tie for third. He had 5 hits in 2003, 6 in 2002 and 9 in 2004.
  7. It appears that they want to show the Mountaineers football team that they have the best offense in West Virginia. Taylor Green with another homer for the Manatees. Edit: How about that? Gamel gets the night off yesterday and hits a homer in his first at bat today. Cain also doing very well in Huntsville with a homer today.
  8. HART!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trenni's dad liked that homer.
  9. I think Braun just wants to hang out with Marisa Miller. Who can blame him? http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/bym/img/aug08/braun2_080908_big.jpg http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/bym/img/aug08/braun_080908_big.jpg
  10. Branyan had a hitting clinic at Miller Park for some kids today. The new generation of 3TO's coming to Miller Park in 2020. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. Russell Branyan singles on a line drive to right field. Craig Counsell watches sharply from the dugout.
  12. I'm surprised Ned didn't start him tonight. Not only did he walk yesterday but he also struck out swinging sharply and reached first base due to grittiness and intangibles (and a wild pitch by Jesus Colome.) Ned can justify playing him by saying "Even when he makes outs he gets on base."
  13. Maybe next time Cordero pitches at Miller Park (hopefully never, but that doesn't seem realistic) we should all give him a standing ovation for taking the extra $4 million. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. Red headed Harry Potter without the glasses?
  15. Spread Eagle is mainly why we stayed in Iron Mountain. My dad's old boss lived in Spread Eagle and he always invited us to visit in the summer. We stayed at the Super 8 in Iron Mountain and then headed over by him for a couple days. He lived right on the lake so we would just spend the day there and just head back to the hotel to sleep. Now my dad lives in Florence pretty close to Keyes Lake. It's really quiet up there. Lots of stuff to do if you like the outdoors. Of course it's not a lot of fun when you're camping and you see a bear walking across the road. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Another place in that area that's nice is Niagara. I believe that's where it was but we went hiking somewhere around there, there's a trail that goes right along a river and then opens up to where you can actually see the river. A bunch of rocks that you can climb on to see the rapids.
  16. Speaking for myself I have criticized pretty much the whole team for the lack of drawing walks, Braun included.
  17. He also had a chance to pick Milledge off but he threw it right into his back and it ended up going as a stolen base.
  18. Mine was more detailed, therefore, better. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  19. Craig Counsell strikes out swinging sharply. Reaches first base due to grittiness and intangibles.
  20. I turned on the Puppy Games on Animal Planet for my puppy. Everytime the puppies on there bark, she barks and when she sees them playing she'll jump up and put her front paws on the TV screen trying to play with them.
  21. Ted Simmons thinks Ned is trying to keep everybody sharp which is why he's starting Counsell. I could buy that if he starts Counsell a couple games in a row, not six. And how is he keeping everybody sharp when Branyan has 7 at bats in the last 10 days?
