http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2007/12/padres-closing.html UPDATE, 12-4-07 at 10:07pm: According to Ken Rosenthal, the Padres and Astros were unable to reach an agreement on Scott. UPDATE, 12-4-07 at 9:15pm: Talks are ongoing. Chase Headley and Matt Antonelli won't be involved, but names like Nick Hundley, Will Venable, Josh Geer, and Wade LeBlanc have been mentioned. Maybe Lou Palmso could solve our outfield WOAHS and a pitcher like Dave Bush and one of our outfield prospects.

They have already said Kearns is on the block. I'd still prefer Rolen but an outfield of Braun, Hart and Kearns with Hall moving back to 3rd would look pretty awesome to me.
  3. trwi7
I don't even think you'd get Bedard for that package let alone Bedard and Tejada.
  4. trwi7
That was my first thought too.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

I'm guessing they'll need to part with Gomez, Mulvey, Humber and Martinez.

If we could get Scott for Vargas I'd do it in a second and then trade Hall for more relief help. I'd prefer Scott to Hall and we could bat Scott 2nd and move Rolen to 6th. Braun-Hart-Scott outfield. *drools*

So did it sound like this Rolen rumor has some serious legs and the only thing holding it up is the money involved?
  8. trwi7
Take the Rolen deal now! Interesting about Broxton, hope they don't give up an untouchable for him. Not worth it imo.

I completely forgot the game was on. Just looked at the box score. Nice to see a comeback after trailing by 9. Hughes with a bad shooting night, same with Butch but from the looks of the box score Butch contributed big time in rebounding grabbing 13. Krabbenhoft looked like he had a nice game. And I'd like to add that while we may not be the most exciting team to watch I sure do like watching this team run it's offense and play defense as well.

Wow I am pissed about this. Confidence in Melvin is almost completely gone. Link

This will be made famous when one of Chris Berman's minions finds it while randomly scanning internet sites for new material. And don't even say he doesn't have any minions because he hasn't had new material in 15 years. There's a completely logical reason, they've been on hiatus.

I'm with you TLB, just hoping that the Matsui to Houston deal is done soon so we can go after him.
  13. trwi7
Yeah that's not exactly a great lineup. Matsui is going to be a disaster playing outside of Coors Field I'm glad he gets to be a disaster in the same division as the Brewers though.

Yost could distract the umpire by yelling in his face or having McClung throw fastballs at him while Dukes gets his wonder bat.
  15. trwi7
I agree with you. If we could get him he'd be a good outfield addition. High OBP guy.

You could teach her how to shake hands. Does she not know how to get the peanut butter out of the bottle? Because that's a good idea. I'd just pay a lot of attention to her and petting her so she doesn't feel like she has to run around to keep herself occupied. Just sit on the floor with her and pet her, try to teach her new tricks that don't involve her moving etc.
  17. trwi7
Because left handed hitters typically hit right handed pitchers better and since most pitchers are righties and we don't have a lot of lefties finding one makes sense.
  18. trwi7
Wow I'd seriously consider putting up one of our young hitters if they offered a package like that.
  19. trwi7
They dominated FAMU tonight. 88-40, FAMU kept it close for the first 5 minutes but then Wisconsin just took over. Bohannon was on fire and Landry was pretty good on offense in the first half. All 15 players played and they even got a walk on some time.

How'd you like those Savannah State unis, hawing? Yikes purple with some orange and a bright sheen.
  21. trwi7
Hughes finished with 25 points I think. He's going to be a good one.
  22. trwi7
Badgers won by 28. Totally forgot the game was on until there were like 5 minutes left.
  23. trwi7
Yes that's Citizens Bank Park. You can see a Phillies player on the banner on that pole and they have the wide open concourse in the outfield like in the picture. I'm guessing #52 is an old Abreu jersey.
  24. trwi7
Just wait until you near 10,000, hawing. We're planning a surprise party. Pretend you didn't read the sentence before this one. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Krabbenhoft shot 40% from 3 point range last year.
