  1. Have you ever heard of a bench player? He's not going to be starting. He's hit for the last two years he can play 1B, 2B, 3B, and the corner outfield spots so he's versatile as well.
  2. The only cougar I wouldn't want to get near is Gary, the no trash cougar. http://www.chaniabeachnews.com/stardates/012206/appleman/gary_the_no_trash_cougar.jpg
  3. I figured that with the font. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Just in case anybody cares Rock Springs is about 225 miles west of Cheyenne, about 200 miles west of Laramie, 200 miles southeast of Jackson Hole and 150 miles southwest of Casper. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. Yeah, I'm not following you here. No telling us where it is in comparison to Cheyenne or Jackson Hole? Just Pinedale and Rawlins? Okay, that's cool, I have an atlas.
  5. They could have put a package for Santana together but Santana would have used his no trade clause because we wouldn't be able to give him the extension he wanted.
  6. I don't really get this move for them. Why not just go with the young guys?
  7. He had a career 3.27 ERA in the minors and a 1.10 WHIP while walking only 2.43 per 9 innings and striking out 8.92 per 9 innings. The biggest questions about him were his stuff and if it was good enough for him to succeed in the majors. I'm pretty sure hitters would've crushed him when he came up if his stuff wasn't good enough.
  8. It was in 2006. I'm not sure about 2007.
  9. Hahahahahahaha. No that wasn't Doug Melvin either.
  10. No he enjoyed his best offensive season when he was starting everyday at SS.
  11. Interesting note in McCalvy's latest column. LINK
  12. I thought I heard something about that last year. Only letting people with tickets go into the parking lot because last year people without a ticket went in and that left some people with tickets without parking places.
  13. If the forwards can shoot just make sure they keep getting the ball early and often in the offense. Are you playing the best guards you have? Just find the best passer of the guards and get him the ball to pass it inside.
  14. They also said they were going to replay the episode tomorrow I believe.
  15. Boy it really is a shame that the guys who come on after Powell are idiots. A few of their quotes. "The Cubs bullpen is filled with question marks." Okay you could make a case for that but right after they say that. "Bob Howry has a high ERA." "Aaron Harang and Bronson Arroyo is one of the best 1-2 punches in baseball." "Yeah, Adam Dunn will get you 30-35 homeruns a year but he'll also strike out 150 times and the guy just does not get on base."
  16. "Soap Opera star Bill Hall now joins us." Excellent. Gotta love Jim.
  17. Melvin should've written this on his forehead so when he got up to take a leak he would remember. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  18. You're thinking of the play in the 8th inning when Linebrink was pitching. It was a bloop down the line and he kind of fumbled the ball and hurried the throw home (which ended up being way off target.)
  19. Just go around town saying you'll do things around the house. Painting, lawn mowing anything like that. Hell you could start right now and do shoveling. That should get you some money fairly quickly.
  20. The only way Melvin trades him is if he's healthy and the Brewers are out of contention.
  21. Yeah it was .301 but Estrada's was .296. The difference is Kendall hit .242 while Estrada hit .278 so Kendall works the count much more than Estrada. As for the speed debate you have to look at who he's replacing and Estrada makes Kendall look like Rickey Henderson.
