  1. This guy is apparently saying that Ichiro has said he'll move to center field and that they need to pick up a power bat for right field. I think if this deal was presented to Melvin he would jump at it.
  2. And I still think Reed has some potential. I don't know where Jenkins would play in Seattle though. Ibanez had a good year in left field and Jenkins isn't moving Ichiro out of right field. So either they're looking to trade Ibanez or Ichiro or they want Ibanez to move to center field or something. Oh well it wouldn't be my problem anyways.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. To Seattle: Geoff Jenkins and $2M To Milwaukee: Jeremy Reed Would you do it?
  4. Where did I EVER say he was bad? I said he was average and he makes almost $4 million next year. I can't think of ANY team that would give us something of value for a $4 million bench player.
  5. Don't know why the Orioles would give up Markakis and I don't know why the Rockies would give up Francis.
  6. I don't know why any team would want him. He's average at hitting, average at fielding and has no speed plus he carries a $3.8 million salary next year.
  7. Love the idea. Hate the idea. He's owed over $5M next year. Let Rivera and Miller be the catchers next year. Love the idea. I came up with a estimated total of around $68 million.
  8. +1 for tying Rusty Greer into this thread. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  9. No way you have to seal it and take it out once in a while and savor the smell. Would he really want to sign his own jock though?
  10. Well we can forget that they don't want Hall for Peavy. I can't blame them Peavy is an ace, it was just my fantasy to get Peavy for Hall. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  11. They don't think he "steps up" when the team needs him most (a lot like Alex Rodriguez.) At least that's what a couple of them said. I also know they need a 3rd baseman and Hall could be their's.
  12. All right I thought of a new idea. Most of you probably won't like it because it involves trading Bill Hall. STARTERS: 1. Weeks $500K 2. Hardy $355K 3. Fielder $329K 4. Burrell $11M 5. Koskie $2M (if healthy) 6. Hart $329K 7. Jenkins $7M 8. Miller $2.25M BENCH: Gross $335K Clark $3.8M Rivera $327K Cirillo $1M Rottino $330K STARTING PITCHERS: 1. Sheets 10M 2. Peavy $4.75M 3. Capuano $2.5M 4. Bush $352K 5. Davis $6M BULLPEN: Cordero $5M Turnbow $2.3M Wise $1M Shouse $1M Villanueva $327K Sarfate $327K Capellan $330K TOTAL PAYROLL: $63,441,000 - Padres fans on another board are saying Peavy could be available in the offseason and Hall could be the right price for them. - The Phillies probably wouldn't want Jenkins in a trade but we could give them one or two mid level prospects in exchange for Burrell and $5M since they seem to be desperate to get rid of him. - Davis could be used as trade bait at the deadline if the Brewers want to give Villanueva a spot in the rotation. Thoughts?
  13. Umm no. Miller and Rivera. Where has anybody posted a trade idea like this?
  14. 4 years $48M left on his deal and he seems to be hurt a lot. I'd pass mainly because of Braun but the injuries and salary is a concern too.
  15. True but it's not a guarantee that Ohka would come back or that Suppan would come here. If I was Suppan I wouldn't want to come to the Brewers because I wouldn't be able to face the Brewers anymore.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. Then we have a pitching issue potentially throwing 2 rookies out into the rotation. If we could do Jenkins for Burrell and $7M I say do it. Then move Hart to RF Hall to CF and Burrell to LF with an infield of Koskie 3B, (if he can come back) Hardy SS, Weeks 2B and Fielder 1B. Then have a rotation of Sheets, Capuano, Bush, Davis, Villanueva. Perhaps trade for Freddy Garcia.
  17. To be fair if we did get Baldelli (big if) we would have him at least through 2008 and if we pick up his options through 2011.
  18. I love the idea of getting Baldelli. Do you think Eveland and Hardy could net him? They want pitching prospects and Eveland is a good one. Then we could trade Jenkins for Burrell and some money. Lineup would be awesome. Hart Koskie Hall Fielder Burrell Baldelli Weeks Miller I like that lineup.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  19. I hope they go after him. It will cost at least $20M to negotiate and then $14-17M over 5 years to sign. Let them spend all their money on him.
  20. You have all the answers don't you?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  21. So what do we do with the outfield? Would it be Burrell/Hart/Jenkins and Hall moves to SS or 3rd?
  22. No thanks to Pierre.
  23. We don't have to bring Mench back...we can just non-tender him. I would do Jenkins and a prospect for Burrell and $7 million (that would make his salary $10M over 2 years.)
  24. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif Trading for Burell is actually growing on me since the Phillies would be willing to pay a portion of his salary and we wouldn't have to give up too much too get him. I'm coming over to the darkside, sbrylski06 is starting to take over my mind.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  25. I guess they may take it since Jenkins is better than Langerhans and it'd only be a year for them...
