I was in Y-US?, Too Kool For Karl, Tongue-N-Groove(there's a band now with that name)Foolish Pleasure, Binge, and Glass Hammer. Usually we played with other Madison bands, The Other Kids, The VWs, Jagermonster and some I can't remember, but got to play with The Sidewinders once, and The Gear Daddies to a crowd of 7! Yah for the summer crowds. Drinkin' beer coffee- wow flashbacks.
You are correct, suh. O'kays was awesome, played there quite a few times back in the late 80's-early 90's and got to party with some cool bands. Tommy Stinsons band should have been called the snowblowers. I saw the Smashing Pumpkins at Smart Studios once, they were with Butch Vig working on some stuff for what would be Gish, I assume he produced that one. Never got to meet them tho. Amazing, some of the bands that rolled through Madison to record there. I guess I'd give SP the nod because of that, but I like both as well.
Anyone remember Smashing Pumpkins and a band called Loud Fast Rules(who changed their name and turned out to be pretty good!) playing O'Kays together for $3 about once a month? Ah, the good old days.
Anything by Charles Bukowski, an old GF gave me either Women or Post Office and I had to get all his stuff after that. And- The Return Of The Last Gang In Town by Marcus Gray.
Wow, that's funny. About 2 years ago I was sitting in Ripp's or The Gold Nugget and 3 guys from outta state were having the same conversation. It got pretty raunchy- waun-a-lube job, waun-a-screw for a hardware store, the bartender says it's a weekly occurrence.
Every year our church has a golf outing that I volunteer to work at and two years ago I entered the raffle and won a set of custom made golf clubs. But since I don't golf I let a friend have them.
plus 1 or 2 for Braun I would assume, that's 4-5 days.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif great start for the crew, hope they score about 9 tonight

I don't think that is true at all. About 4 of his 14 walks were to get to the pitcher and 2 times he scored, Bush double and the Victorino error. 3 have come when he was batting 1st or 2nd, 3 when leading off an inning and 4 late in games before a pinch hitter.
I agree 100% Brewcrew- Rickie doesn't really enjoy leading off anyway, ease a little pressure or something. Gwynn may not be the Ignitor but he provides a spark, better than the wet match we're running out there in Weeks every night.
