  1. very similar to fanspeak. ran through it a few times for the packers, not loving what I am seeing available at 30, knowing that these things don't let you move up or down and are based on rankings on one "expert". fun to do, helps you learn about who could be around when the packers pick, but that's about it.
  2. the bucks drafted Dirk for the Mavs. If they didn't want to trade up for Tractor, the pick would have (most likely) not been Dirk. This happens all of the time, teams draft players for other teams, not because they wanted to pick him.
  3. Found this earlier this week and don't think it was posted up here. something fun to discuss https://fansided.com/2020/03/30/ranking-all-30-mlb-uniforms-best-to-worst/?fbclid=IwAR37H2mOHME_PJiUHymfQxC7WfkInnWknFkO_VQY0V-2ryp59uGouqFcerM I expected the brewers to be a little higher, although every one of the uniforms rated above I'd consider "Classic". The writer seemed to give undue bonus points for unique colors (rockies purple, a's green/yellow, orioles orange). didn't give the brewers credit for being the only team wearing navy and yellow.
  4. I believe this has been my official BF.net responsibility since 2008 to post an annual 4/1 foolsy trade Ha! at least some normalcy in a completely unnormal world.
  5. https://thegamemke.iheart.com/content/2020-03-31-nba-considering-plan-to-finish-season-at-one-arena-with-no-fans/?fbclid=IwAR1G9aCWrBD_PkV-cApeabnSHjdYmHJ8IF-ixt0K3jA5R84AiIVTHhfG0bg This would be interesting. I think finishing the season would allow teams to "practice" for the postseason, and would probably make the playoffs less random. I think if you just picked up the playoffs after being off for 2-3 months, it would be anyone's guess on how it would play out.
  6. Since we don't know when things will get back to normal, its hard to say much at this point. Assuming things get back to normal in May, and sports turns back on in June. I think the NBA could stop regular season games and go ahead with the playoffs as seeded after a truncated training camp. Since Silver was already considering it, all teams could complete in a single elimination tournament for the last few playoff seeds. I don't know, if there is a season, anything that they come up with will not be normal.
  7. Allison to the lions. never lived up to his potential. normally i'd say best of luck but since he is going in division, i'll pass.
  8. I'd wait to judge this until we see the contract. I think it has to be a low risk contract for the Packers.
  9. I'd wait to judge this until we see the contract. I think it has to be a low risk contract for the Packers.
  10. ok, i'll take back the high pick on a TE remark. Sternberger, if he can recover, should be a good help. Lewis is a good blocker, don't think too much of Tonyan. I stand by the need a WR in the 1st 2 rounds.
  11. except for they haven't addressed their top 2 offensive needs and its looking like they will have to use a high pick to get a TE and WR. Which I'm totally for, I hope this year they don't go BPA, unless they are forced to reach to do this, which obviously I don't want them to do.
  12. I just looked up the actual Trubisky trade, Kamara was used on one of those picks. ouch.
  13. yeah you would thing that you would try to tank to get a young QB, rather than doing what they are doing this offeason.
  14. agreed, I went with the 2-3 smaller one idea. I would hope the packers can do something at the TE position, i'm just happy they didn't spend the rest of their cap space on Hooper. Anderson would be a great signing, I think he could be very productive with a competent qb throwing to him.
  15. I think that's why he chose TB over say the chargers. he should have more freedom and weapons.
  16. I hope they do a little more, there are some decent vet backups out there and the WR market is pretty decent. I wouldn't mind a Bortles, Allen or McCoy as a #2 on a 1 year incentive laden deal. I don't know what it would take to get Dorsett, Gabriel, Funchess. Ebron is still out there too. Blake Bortles Matt Moore Colt McCoy Brett Hundley Brandon Allen Trevor Siemian Josh McCown Mike Glennon Robby Anderson Breshad Perriman Demarcus Robinson Phillip Dorsett Devin Funchess Nelson Agholor Paul Richardson Rashard Higgins Ted Ginn Geronimo Allison Tajae Sharpe Taylor Gabriel Demaryius Thomas Chris Hogan Seth Roberts Tavon Austin Dontrelle Inman
  17. well that's probably for a separate topic, but I don't see Miller completely pulling the plug on its operations, but you are correct its not a Milwaukee company at all. They still sponsor a lot of stuff in the area, and still have sponsorship deals with the brewers and all other local sports teams.
  18. Brady expected to sign with the Bucs tomorrow. I know they are getting new jerseys this season, but it will be weird to see him in those colors. I thought for sure he was destined for LAC.
  19. Corey Littleton to the Raiders 3/36.Would be hard for the packers to match that.
  20. I'd take Jones over Hopkins at this point, but I agree its a close thing and both are significantly better than Johnson and whatever they do with that 2nd.
  21. About $14 million left, even factoring in the draft class. Thanks then i'd like them to get one more guy, similar to what they paid for the 2 today. If they can get Littleton and then draft a WR and TE early, i'd be happy
  22. if they can get a TE and WR on the first 2 days, I'm OK with this strategy. Does anyone know how much cap room they have with their 2 signings today?
  23. for David Johnson, complete highway robbery for the cards.
  24. Hooper to the browns 4/44mm.darn, but that's a lot of money for a non-elite TE.
  25. From walterfootball: Packers sign LB Christian Kirksey (2 years, $16 million): B- Grade The Packers were thoroughly embarrassed in the NFC Championship, as the 49ers pounded the ball at them at will. Green Bay allowed Raheem Mostert to have a complete performance, so it was clear that it had to do several things to improve its run defense this offseason. This was the first step. This signing should help, at least in theory. Christian Kirksey was once seen as a promising, young linebacker, but he has played in just nine games over the past two years due to injury. He has also struggled when actually on the field. The Packers will be hoping that Kirksey rebounds after buying low on him. The thing is, it's not actually buying that low. Kirksey is getting more money than I expected he would per year. It's not an egregious sum, but this is too much money based on how he has performed. Still, it's only a 2-year pact, so the Packers aren't putting themselves at tremendous risk, so if this move doesn't pan out, Green Bay's financial status won't be too damaged by it.
