  1. Well maybe they can get Hinton on a 2 way contract since he was not selected tonight. Seems to me bol is another maker so I’m glad they didn’t go there. Bottom line if they can resign Middleton and Brogdon, I’m happy how things turned out. If they get Lopez too I’m ecstatic
  2. I would have liked Kevin Porter at 30
  3. Well my top 3 for the Bucks (windler, Jerome, and Johnson never made it to 30 I’ll predict the bucks will buy a pick late in the 2nd and take Amir Hinton.
  4. go back to 43rd street for all I care.
  5. I was in there in April and Bruce told me he was selling the place and was sticking around to help the new owners. I am not 100% certain of the closing date. but yes he is selling. They do have the best bar pizza.
  6. i wouldn't worry about filling out a roster. They get 2 two-way contract spots, i wouldn't be suprised if they buy a 2nd round pick tonight, plus there are plenty of guys at the end of their careers who would sign with the bucks in hope of getting a ring for cheap.
  7. my preference is the ice house (north of the stadium on miller park way and burnham) its nice going to a place that isn't next to a bunch of brewer bars like the bluemound ave ones. beer there is relatively cheap and the food is good and not too expensive. place isn't the fanciest in the world, and I haven't been there since the place was sold earlier this summer though.
  8. I think its too early to say they hit on DJ or Sterling. Both contributed very little down the stretch. Wilson had a handful of good games, but thats not enough to say they hit on him. But to criticize all of the picks wasn't really my entire point. My only point is for the draft only its more important to resign as much as they can from last year. I'm happy with the move, but the savings from this year isn't going to really help resign anyone. Overall, I hope Horst will learn from Hammond's mistake and when you trade for someone who hasn't done much in Chicago, has a big final 25 games of the season after the trade in a free agent year, it rarely works to sign him to a big extension.
  9. yes, Jabari was the 2nd pick in the draft that they got a full season and 2 half seasons from. not exactly what you would expect from 2nd overall and that was 5 years ago. Wilson will contribute, and DDV didn't get much of a rookie year, but I think on June 19th, you can say they struggled on 1st round picks. Yes you need to develop players in Milwaukee, especially since you will not be getting top free agents to come here, my only point was in this offseason, its more important to resign your guys rather than get the 30th pick in the draft.
  10. I don't like the NBA commish telling owners how to run their businesses. If a team wants to trade their 1st round pick every year, what is it to Silver or Stearns or whomever. I wish MLB was more open to trading picks too. The NFL has it right. Agreed on the hard cap, but obviously the players union would NEVER agree to that.
  11. The bucks have gotten minimal contributions from their first round picks since Jabari. They need to sign their free agents. If the bucks were not the eastern conference favorite or atleast co-favorite (depending on if Toronto can sign Kawaii), i'd be against it too. There was a report that the bucks needed to get to the finals for Giannis to resign (who knows if this is legit, but its there) (https://sports.yahoo.com/giannis-antetokounmpo-bucks-contract-free-agent-supermax-050656966.html) if they want to buy a 2nd, I'm OK with that, but I don't think you can expect any contributions from that pick next season. Yes, there are some players that should be around at 30 that I am excited about, but I realize that they need to sign their guys to have a chance to build on what they did last season, because of some stupid free agent decisions that were made.
  12. I thought the same thing, same reason why the lakers staggered their picks to the pelicans. not sure what else could trading "draft compensation" though. Most of their picks for the next few drafts have been traded away already.
  13. Interesting, bucks may be shut out on Thursday. https://www.brewhoop.com/2019/6/17/18682484/report-milwaukee-bucks-offering-draft-compensation-to-offload-tony-snell-or-ersan-ilyasova?fbclid=IwAR1hU1meWtAxxT6JvR5z0yZQ19ir6WBvkEg9_3lFMHPyBPuqIpwk-3JzoHk If it helps the bucks sign 2 of Brodgon, Middleton and Lopez. I'm all for it. bucks are in win-now mode.
  14. the trade actually seems like a good haul for New Orleans, all things considered. Basically only 2 teams could trade for him, so they were only bidding against the Knicks, who have much less assets to trade. yes Boston could have traded for him and gave up more and hope he would resign, but it would have been a huge risk for Ainge. Seems like a fair trade, which rarely happens in the NBA in these cases.
  15. So I did look over every mock draft I could find over the weekend and based on who I think will be still avaleable my top choice is Dylan Windler.
  16. thats fine too. My point is that Aguilar has been pretty bad since the All star break last season, which is enough sample size for me. He is batting 193 since the all star break and has 15 HR's and 62 RBI's. He should be the one to go to make room for Keston.
  17. Yes, when you make a 4-1 trade, both teams can win. The brewers got what they wanted (needed) and hopefully the Marlins can too. I am not worried at this given time about any prospect we gave up. I won't freak out on one start from Jordan, since MLB debuts always seem to go like his or be a disaster.
  18. I think if you want a thicker jersey you are stuck at 250-300 or buying a cheap Chinese knockoff. I haven't seen too much price fluctuation. I will say that the pro-shop is probably the most expensive. I'd try fanatics, mlbshop, etc. personally I don't buy jerseys anymore so maybe someone is of more help. I'm more than happy buying a 50 dollar polo and wearing that to games (not as warm in the summer also)
  19. Do they need it or do you just want to see it? They've averaged 5.25 runs per game since he was sent down. yeah respectively this argument is weak. I'm ready to pull the plug on Jesus, move moose to 1st and hope Shaw gets it together.
  20. I'm probably forgetting some and people like Boylan and Larry K don't count. The only other case I can think of is Woodson, but he wasn't hired from the bucks.
  21. looks like the bucks are loosing an assistant to the grizzlies. To be honest I had no idea who Taylor Jenkins was before the announcement. While he was only here 1 year, it is nice to see bucks assistants being mentioned for HC positions. I can't remember the last time a current bucks assistant was plucked away from Milwaukee for a head coaching job.
  22. Stearns has focused on catchers, middle infielders and center fielders. I get it and I hope it works out
  23. my only beef is the 3 catchers. It’s a small beef as you can never have enough and I would be surprised if all 3 stay there. Really excited about the pitching we are adding and the possibility of getting through the system quickly.
  24. I like that they seem to have had a plan to deal with the lost picks and low bonus pool and have executed it so far. Seems like Kelly and Holt may be the only difficult signs and above slot playerst. Small is my favorite. Like having a lefty with a funky delivery who can locate his pitches and strike people out.
  25. i was wondering how he could be a 4th year JR and be born in 01. Birthday is in 1997, which makes more sense.
