  1. With 12 spots accounted for and 3 open, assuming that thanasis signs tomorrow, I’d be happy with carter and one of the summer league guys mentioned earlier.
  2. Yeah, if it makes Giannis happy, then obviously the roster spot and everything else is secondary. It just seems kinda stupid. Who knows if the couple good games Wood had will ever amount to anything, but this is basically just a wasted roster spot. And again, like you said, if it helps Giannis decide to stay next year, small price to pay. I was just hoping for another solid vet who had yet to sign. Guy is 2 years older than giannis, and averages 4 ppg and 2 rpg in the Greek league. Obviously not an NBA player, but I’m fine with it as long as another vet is signed
  3. It’s just one summer league game, but the bucks may have something in jock Landale and Dalton Hommes, both fill a position of need. May be good choices for 2 way contracts, . Fletcher Magee was the player I was excited to see but he was a DNP..
  4. i agree, makes sense to pick it up, unless they upgrade the position at the trade deadline, which i doubt. The options are few. No-one in the minors knocking on the door. Moose is a FA. Jesus will be gone. No idea whats up with Shaw.
  5. https://www.yardbarker.com/nba/articles/report_bucks_to_sign_brother_of_mvp_giannis_antetokounmpo/s1_12680_29458670 2 years / 3MM is a small price to pay if this makes Giannis's decision next summer easier, also helps fill out the roster on the cheap. now give me Vince and lets get to camp!.
  6. his option year is 15MM. yes it would be nice for him to finish his career as a brewer, but unless he wants to negotiate a contract more in line with production, I don't see it.
  7. Markief signed with the Pistons, obviously Marcus is the preferred of the 2, but not sure the bucks could afford him. If the bucks want to bring in Gasol on a vet minimum, fine, but I wouldn't expect much from a 39 year old coming off of an injury but a vet presence in the locker room who has been there before. (which isn't anything) As you mentioned, Burke is probably the best backup PG out there, hasn't done much in the pros, saw that the lakers are in the mix for him. however, as i previously stated, carter makes the more sense to me over gasol.
  8. bucks, lakers and sixers are the favorites to sign Korver. somehow I'd like for them to get another shooter off the bench, this would do if they can make it work.
  9. Glad he is still with the Crew. not necessarily, i believe he can still reject the assignment.
  10. he said he wanted to return to the bucks. no idea if the sentiment is shared by Jon Horst.
  11. The bucks only have so much cap room, so I think it is unfair to say this. Matthews did take less money than I think he could have gotten elsewhere to come here. After bucks resigned their guys they only have enough money to some vet minimum deals to round out the roster.
  12. stolen from @brewcitypaul EDIT: chandler, dudley and kornet was signed but the nets, lakers and bulls respectively. In theory, the bucks have 3 spots to fill.Ideally i'd love to see a veteran big and guard. Its too bad they had to release Wood to make room for Gasol. of the summer league guys, Fletcher Magee intrigues me most as an undersized shooter to come off the bench. Id sign Vince Carter to come off the bench and maybe Markieff Morris, if they want to come in for low money deals to go for a ring. (reviewing bigs still around is pretty ugly, I know Morris isn't much but he is the best I could come up).
  13. Once Bledsoe got paid, it would be hard to pay brodgon too. yes it sucks. It is smart though to get as many veteran bench guys you can. if you would have matched Indiana's offer, there would be no room to sign anyone else.
  14. haven't bought a shersey in a while but this may one to get.
  15. i would have preferred him too over robin lopez in a vacuum, but maybe having the lopez twins together will revive robin. coming from a known badger basketball hater and Marquette fan too
  16. Bruce's last day owning was yesterday. Place will be closed this week and the new owners will open next week.
  17. this is what happens when you have the MVP and got to the ECF. Wesley is looking for a title at the end of his career. Without Giannis, you don't get a signing like this. I'd expect one or 2 more of these signings to fill out a solid roster.
  18. this should balance out having Leuer on the team
  19. isn't there anyone better that they could have brought up? Burnes can't go in the rotation. it would be best for him to make regular starts in San Antonio. personally i'd recall Smith
  20. well it can't happen in hockey because the ushers have stop signs while puck in play. it does happen in basketball.
  21. that is my best case scenerio. Yes, the bucks may regret how much money they give KMidd. Yes the bucks cap situaiton could be in rough shape if Giannis signs a supermax. But the bucks would be at the minimum the co-favorites in the east depending on what goes on with Kawaii.
  22. yeah not arguing that UConn isn't a better program than what I listed. The old big east imploded because the football schools were more focused on football than basketball, even though the big east was founded to be an elite basketball conference. If you need to expand and can find a school that is similar to what is already there, (smaller, private basketball only school), it would be a better fit IMHo
  23. Small and Kahle signed underslot, Kelly at slot. Brewers saving just under 800K. id hope more of 4-10 get signed.
  24. This is probably better for the Marquette thread. Yes UConn wil probably be the 2nd more high profile school in the conference on Day 1 (nova #1). It probably makes the Big East a higher profile conference as well. My point was that the schools that decided to start the new big east, all have the same profile and UConn doesn't fit that profile at all. Maybe it won't matter. Maybe their football team will fold or go back to FCS. Also yes, St Louis is a mid major, but I could say the same for Creighton, Butler, and Xavier and they are all doing fine in the new conference.
  25. There are better schools if the big east wanted to expand. I would have preferred Temple / St Louis. They fit the mold better. UConn hasn't done much since Calhoun retired, minus a championship with his players. I guess for nostalgia it make sense but thats about it.
