Now, I have to ask this, why did 14 people look at this and not respond, I laid it alllll out there in the subject

If you can't help me with my polyester woes, why come looking at my thread

You're the T-Shirt guy, I would have figured you would know best.

Polyester doesn't shrink or fade when you wash and dry it according to manufacturer's instructions.

Some of the high-tech wicking performancewear shirts are made of polyester, and I believe they should be air dried. . .but don't hold me to that.

We only use 100% cotton, polyester and poly blends tend to bleed into textile inks.

Washing instructions?!!? bah, I am lucky if I remember to put soap in the washing machine

Thank you for your help

I always think that my clothes shrink when washed and dryed but the reality is that I am hitting a sudden groth spurt at the age of 29. I dont think its my putuitary gland either.

I have some really colorful cycling jerseys that I think are polyester, and they have remained vivid through several washings. They might be a blend with some other fabric in there, but I haven't noticed any bleeding of any kind, and I've worn them several times.

I didn't read the other thread, so I don't know the context of your question.

If you're going to do t-shirts exclusively--with men as your primary customers--then I'd agree that 100% cotton is the way to go.

Polyester doesn't shrink, fade or bleed. You should air dry it though, as the heat from the dryer can cause knotting in the fabric.

The other thread was about this item:

It's 97% polyester. It would account for literally about 15% of what I spend on clothes in a year. I have abnormally long arms, so XL vs. XXL hinges strongly on my research of the material.

Polyester bleeds into textile inks. If you put [most] white ink on polyester, the white ink will take on that color. That only happens on application though, not during a wash.
