Weeks is playing in a minor league game today to get extra ABs after missing time with a hand bruise.

Vargas decided the game was going too quickly

Vargas was doing fine for the first few innings and then decided he was going to be the same guy as last year and continue to nibble, take a ton of time and just plain suck. 83 pitches in 3.2 innings and only 46 of those pitches were strikes.

Anyone starting to worry about this team?

Narveson looks good. Topped out at 90 MPH a few times, good looking breaking ball (curve, I think), little hitch at the top of his delivery seemed to throw the hitters' timing off. Stayed down with everything to, from a high 3/4 arm slot.

 

Edit: Looks like he has both a slider and a curveball. The curve looked better, a real dive bomber.

 

Edit 2: Kapler had a beautiful throw from center to nail a runner at the plate... one hop, right on Munson.

Anyone starting to worry about this team?

No, its spring training. I take most of what happens with a grain of salt. It can make you think a little bit but in the end it doesn't count. They just need to be ready to really turn it on March 31.

i almost fell asleep in the $th i had no idea why Vargas went back to pitching so slow.

he looked liked a different person in the 4th.

the brewers had a nice defensive play by Kaplar.

It was nice yo see Mota ,Turnbow and Gange Pitch well.
