Does anyone know where the nearest batting cages to the UW-Madison campus would be? I want to hit a few softball's this spring...

Either Vitense or Bogey's in Middleton. Those are the only two I know of in Madison.

Yep, that's also all I know of, though I can't say I've frequented either in several years.

Sbryl, why didn't you lace 'em up with the Madison softball team last year? Are you going to this year?

I work up in Green Bay during the summer, so nope. I got a team up there though.

two things, either take a bat that you dont care about because it will get dented with the balls they use or if you dont have a choice buy a bat sleeve or wrap it with something to protect it. The balls they use are very hard and every bat manufacturer voids a warranty if the bat is damaged in a batting cage, most even have warnings about them on the packaging.

the Play It Again Sports by my house has new indoor batting cages that are very nice. Hit some balls last week, I know manager and had him crank up the fast pitch baseball to 85. Lots of fun.
