Not that it mattered with Weeks up, but with Sheets threatening to bunt, the Braves weren't even holding Corey on first. He could have had a walking lead, and stolen 2nd in his sleep. Then Sheets may get lucky with a slow roller to score a run.

People have been all over Hall this year but you have not heard nearly as much on Weeks... and Weeks has never put together a solid string of major league offense.. this guy was supposed to be the next Joe Morgan.. I know he is still young but at some point doesn't he have to go on a tear or risk being called overrated?

Sheet's splits page shows he's more likely to give up runs in innings 4-6 than 1-3.

 

I find it funny you like to make yourself seem well versed with these fancy baseball references. The fact is that you are totally misguided in that you're critiquing my point about Sheets' bad first inning by referencing innings 2 and 3 as well. Please re-read my post as I never mentioned anything about the last 8 innings. I don't need Baseball Reference to tell me he's given up a good portion of his runs in the first inning; I know that by watching games.
