Braun going for the repeat line from last night's game. Already 2-3 with a 2B and HR. I think his wrist is ready for the big leagues.

Braun is just nuts, even if he doesn't set the league on fire right away hes way better then Couns/Graff. I cant wait for the excitment that will surround his first game. Its going to be great.

Before the year began, i would have challanged you on this one. But now, i fully agree. No way he hits around the Mendoza line this year(nor should Graffy, but he's better as a PH in my opinion).

And while I think he could set the league on fire, that will be tough being his first big league season and with the expectations on him.

However, I think he could play well enough to contend for ROY with only 4 months of the season.

If he hits around 15 HR's and bats .270ish that would be fine by me.

Honestly, is the only reason Braun is still down in Nashville because of that arbitration deadline to clear in June?

That seems to be what people think. Its that and the fact that he missed two weeks with that wrist thing. Now that he's back and fine I dont see a single reason why we wouldn't see Braun June 1st.

How is he going to beat Cal Ripken's streak if he has to rest once in a while?

Normally I don't get worked up about the lineups, but Hardy out irritates me slightly.

Counsell is 2 for 18 with an OPS of .269 against Penny.

JJ is 3 for 6 with an OPS of 1.071

Hmmm....

I guess that's called playing the matchups, huh?

Let me repeat:

Is the game not on TV? I'm unable to locate in my Dish Network search this evening?

Now let's just throw this out there, but Add 1 JJ and 1 Ryan, while subtracting 1 Tony and 1 Craig, and you find me a glaring weakness in the new lineup.

With tonights lineup the Brewers are literally sacrificing 1/3 of the game. Sweet.

I want Braun up here now too but who would we send down. We would either have to send down Hart or Gwynn or go with 1 less picture and send down Spurling forcing Dessens (our batting practice picture) to have to pitch more. We would have to in my opinion trade a veteran that doesn't have options or eat some payroll and give somebody their outright release like Dessens. What I want to know is Yovanni pitching in place of Sheets in 5 days?

Ok, I'm straight up P.O'd at Yost. Why?

Why would you have counsell and Graffy at the end of the line-up again? I'm starting to get upset.

Weeks

Counsell

Hall

Fielder

Jenkins

Estrada

Gwynn

Graffy

Pitcher

It's not that hard Yost....wake up and smell the Majors!!!!!!!

If you take out Hardy's power how can you not go with Gross?

Gotta get the "hot bat" back in the lineup.

Gosh, I give up trying to defend Yost.

Why would you put the second worst hitter on the team at 2nd?

My vote is Hart. Keep Dessens for those blow out innings. Let Hart get some playing time on a regular basis.

Ok, ok...thanks for the English lessenhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

My vote is will be Hart.

EDIT: Sorry. A more constructive response would be...

Is that who you think should be sent down or will be?

Substitute "Hart" with "Gwynn" or ad "at the major league level" on to the end of that sentence, and it's fixed.

This line-up is terrible. We have a day off tommorow and we have to travel a whole 1 hr to get to San Diego. Also, the fact that we are going against Brad Penney deserves a better line-up than this. Is Yost just setting us up to lose, the bottom of the order is just ugly.
