I really like all those 6.00+ ERA's in the Pirates bullpen (especially in a 4 game series). If we can get to Gorzelanny early today and force a short outing it could pay big dividends for the rest of the series looking at that bullpen.

He did say either Monday or Tuesday when Vina was making his Sheffield prediction that the Pirates would be in 1st place by the end of August. I am sure that others on this board heard it as well. He reasoning is that they have good young players and I guess LaRouche is going to break out of his slump and become the next Ryan Howard.

Based on Bush's patterns for last year, we'll see a much better pitcher tonight. Last year he tended to follow an awful outing with a fantastic one. It's funny because the Bush fans remember the fantastic outings, the Bush-haters (my dad, for one) remember his shellings.

I've probably seen less of Bush than any other Brewer starter so far, but I have to say that's the best inning I've seen him pitch. His curve looked like it had a lot of bite, and he did a great job keeping the ball down.
