(And now it's probably just as well Jeff Kent got his HR. Imagine if Ben had had a no-hitter dashed, in the 9th, by Brady freakin' Clark.)

I'm almost a little disappointed the game is over - how can it get better than this?

 

Great job by the Crew today. If that is a realistic preview of what we are going to see this year, this is going to be a very fun season!

Well, I started from the beginning and found that Marty Pattin had a complete game on Opening Day, 1971.

 

Because that answers the question, I didn't go any further. I'm sure there've been a few complete games. Remember, those were much more routine a couple decades ago.

I believe they said Don August was the last one to do it. It was in the late 80's I believe. They lost the game. The last one to have a CG and win was in the 70's.
