I just started a separate thread in the major league forum about 2007 in-game "contests." This triple play thing sounds like the 2007 equivalent of the Menards Big Inning of 2006. Neither is/was statistically unwinnable, but the folks putting up the prizes know the odds are well in their favor.

 

Brewersradionetwork.com also mentions a Potawotami Bingo Play Big 21 contest - which has a contestant drawn every game who is guaranteed a modest prize, plus a chance of a bigger prize if the combined final score is 21.

 

If these contests replace the Home Run Inning I will be unhappy.
