I find it strange they skipped from the bottom of the 8th to the bottom of the 10th...seems like that would have been more exciting than a scoreless half-inning/inning earlier in the game.

Al has a point. I think the top of the first showed us about enough of Matt Kinney.

 

As I recall, the attendance for both this game and the night before (with the Hall walkoff) was under 10,000. And the weather for this comeback game must have been pretty decent - there were people in short sleeves and even sleeveless shirts.

I really think this two game series against the Reds was the turning point of the franchise. After a very long time, Brewers fans were treated to some magic and things started to go better in terms of attendance and optimisim.

 

I know they had a terrible second half that season, but it still felt like a huge turning point.

In fact, if you recorded it, the double in the bottom of the 10th hit the yellow padding right in front of me. You can see me jumping up and down because I thought it was a HR.

I was at this game. People were laughing at me and my 9-10 buddies for staying loud throughout this one. We knew the comeback was happening.

 

Wasn't this the game after Moeller's cycle? We had signs for that, too. I think we made it on TV.

I was there, too. I thought it was a home run, too. But I was on the other side of the park.

 

The fact that you thought it was a home run too makes that theory seem a lot more credible.
