Glendon Rusch is only the second car in the procession of mediocrity we're facing this week. We did beat Redman, but we're still got JDLR and Josh Fogg to go.

Hopefully our bats can do something against Rusch soon.

Woah hey! Take it easy! How on earth is this like 2004. This happens to every pitcher once in a while. In 2004 it happened every game. The offense has been pretty great this year behind him. Look at his record!

Rusch is throwing everything over the outer part of the plate. Either the Brewers hitters need to lean in more or start thinking opposite field more.

Our hitters have IQ's of about 70. J.J. swings at ball 4 and grounds out. We need baserunners idiots. Stop trying to hit a 3-run homer with nobody on base.

It would really suck to lose this game with Bush starting tomorrow. I really can't put into words how much I hate playing the Rockies.

It's nights like this that make me question this team's overall ability to take the next step. They are often very exciting to watch offensively, but overall they simply struggle far too often against guys like Glendon Rusch. Plate approach continues to be a major issue often enough to be of concern over 162.

Meanwhile, Colorado, even though looking bad against Sheets most of the time, continued to follow what appears to be "the book" in attacking Sheets. Eventually you can take Benny deep if you exhibit patience and aree fortunate enough to find the right pitch. And teams are finding ways to get Benny's pitch count up, too.

I'll be very disappointed if there isn't a good ending to this.

Phillies take a 2-0 lead on the Cards, at least.

Nice play by Kendall, but would it kill Stetter to go an outing without getting the leadoff man on?

well, I was expecting to come home and find that we were up big, considering who's pitching. Imagine my surprise to find this. How are we losing to Glendon Rusch!??!

2-3-4 hitters and they do nothing ,unless they learn how to hit the brewers are not going to win.

looks like the hitters again are taking an early break for all satr game.

Po gets 2 rbi aganist the crew this is so frustrating how we can't beat crappy pitchers.

Someone better get ticked off here and get the offense fired up

ugh. Why can't our hitters ever get on base and produce runs like that. You live by the sword and die by the sword I guess.....

You point to any pitching matchup on this 162 game schedule and you won't find a game more overwhelmingly in our favor.

So here we are down 4-1 in the 7th.

How are we losing to Glendon Rusch!??!

Teams kick away two of three home games against horse(bleep) pitchers all the time. Didn't you know that? You have no right to be critical of this team.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.

Wait, so Hurdle leaves in Rusch to sac bunt instead of putting in a pinch hitter and then elects to use Corpas. And so far it has worked out... If Ned Yost did that we'd probably be all over him.
