As sad as it is, I have more faith in Kapler here than I would have in Prince.

 

Score a run here guys. Ned is going to run CC out there for the 9th otherwise.

Sometimes I'm floored that a team can look like this and be considered a legitimate playoff contender. I know every team has their bad days, but cripes.

Am I the only one who thinks it's a little crazy that C.C. is still pitching??? He really labored last inning, and was at 111 pitches after the 8th. At this rate, I'm worried about Sheets and Sabathia being really worn down by September.

 

edit: Well, C.C. certainly got the job done. I'm still a little concerned though.

This offense is putrid. Hall, Cameron, Kendall, pitcher, Weeks consecutively...ouch. And if the Brewers don't score in the 9th, (and why would they with who's due up) then the game is left in the hands of our collapsing bullpen. Not feeling very confident right now.

These 2 July CC starts have already justified the Zach Jackson portion of the trade.

 

How about 10 wins in September / October to make us forgot all about the very existence of a certain FSU-senior-draft-pick-he-who-must-not-be-named?
