Abreu may have made the worst play I ever saw - thrown out at 3d for the last out before Jeter gets home on what would have been a routine SF and the Yankees down 5-0 early.

Colorado's starters this weekend were Jorge de la Rosa, Valerio de los Santos, and now Glendon Rusch. Hard to compete when 60% of the rotation comprises Brewer rejects.

The Cubs just blew a lead? Is that possible?

(Andy LaRoche just hit a 2-run HR to tie it at 5 in the 8th)

And of course the Cubs take the lead right back, because that's what they do.

Likely game-saving DP off the bat of Ludwick after Pujols BB'd to load the bases in the 8th at StL.

5-3 Phillies, heading to the 9th.

Ruh roh. Glaus led off the 9th with a solo jack off Lidge, and it's now runners on 1B & 3B with one out, 5-4 Phils.

Stavinoha down swinging, 2 out.

RF Joe Mather strikes out! Game over with Pujols in the on-deck circle!

For the one that asked, nothing happened to Zambrano. After going 125 and 118 pitches in his last 2 games, Lou decided to shorten him up today. Keep him nice and fresh for his next start vs the Cards.

I would be so angry at Ludwick if I was a Cardinal fan. One of my biggest pet peeves in baseball is swinging at the first pitch after a walk, especially with runners on base. Well Pujols walked to load the bases and Ludwick swings at the first pitch and grounds into an inning ending double play. Not that I'm complaining or anything. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
