Funny thing is that he's not that much shorter than half of the guys on the team, particularly that Richie Sohm guy who was on the team for several years. That dude had to go about 5'4".

yeah, that was a 3 minute waste of time. did the mallards announce he'd be playing? also, he was choking up way too much, and has anyone since george brett been tossed for too much pine tar? silly.

I believe it was announced ahead of time that Coleman was signed to a 1-day contract or something to that effect -- the story even made SportsCenter, if I remember correctly. It was pretty obvious it was going to be a publicity stunt, but it turned out to just be Coleman making an embarrassment out of himself. The bat "corked" with superballs was especially lame.
