Capuano having a nice strong outing and the Crew getting the win could go a long way towards lifting the collective spirits of brewrefan.net nation.

i was suprised gross came in as a defensive replacement. ned seems to like him more than he should

I think Yost has fallen into the same trap as many fans do; He only seems to remember his first impression of Gross, when he was golfing homeruns every AB. Hart should be the first guy off the bench and the first option to replace a corner OFer against lefties.

EDIT: What he said.

Thus begins Russ' new IGT tradition - hopefully one that is short lived. (I believe you posted nearly the same statement before Saturday's game.)

It's simple why Gabe gets the playing time. Ned just sees number 18 on a jersey and says, hey, that's my guy. So we need to find a way to fashion a swap. Corey starts wearing 18 and he becomes the go-to guy.

The retro pix are a nice touch.

C'mon home team.....please.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

They are going to need more than their mojo...they need to find their offense as well, even if they have to use those nasty pink bats.

The first time I posted that was for Eveland's last start. He did such a wonderful job that he was demoted to AAA about 5 minutes after the game ended. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif I tried again with Davis and he was kind enough to set Turnbow and the Crew up for a crushing come from ahead loss in the 9th. Third time's the charm, right?

The Brewers simply have to win today and tomorrow. The reason is simple. I have tickets to Wed. game and need some motivation to drive the almost 3 hours to watch them. I know that it's Jackson's first major league start but if he's tasked with stopping a then 10 game skid...

Tonight feels like a win. But then again, I thought they'd bounce back by sweeping Washington, so I'll bite my tongue. I do know this - these hitters are too talented not to inflict a ton of pain on some unlucky pitcher soon. Also, whenever they finally snap this losing streak, it had better be the start of at least a small winning streak. Time to take out some pent up aggression on the Fathers.

Although I am not sure how Cirillo will do at shortstop, I do like the idea of giving Bill Hall a day off. He might be wearing down a little.

By the way, I am feeling really pumped up for this game. I am not really sure why. I was really down yesterday but I have a good feeling right now.

It's a new day folks.

I want some help understanding a point of view. The Brewers are facing a RHP tonight. How does starting the LH Gross over the RH Hart show a bias against Hart?

If we were going against a lefty and Gross got the start I might agree but I think that if we were up against a lefty there would be a 99.99% chance Hart would start.

Speaking of old #18, Wes is batting 222 this year. He's actually had 63 ABs, but it looks like he misses Ned from the look on his face...

SS is way above Cirillo's head at this point of his career. This is one of the worse defensive infields I can possible imagine. All we are missing is 2004 Wes Helms.

This board desperately needs a win. If Turnbow blows a save and the Brewers lose tonight, my computer might actually burst into flames if I log onto this site.
