Scouting Report:

It has been a rough start to 2006 for Davis to say the least. His most recent start was his five-inning, nine-walk performance against Cincinnati on Sunday. Davis tied a dubious club record with his nine free passes, and the Brewers went on to lose the game, 11-0. One of the National League's top authors of quality starts over the past two seasons, Davis has yet to pitch deeper than the sixth inning in five starts this year.

The lefty had walked four batters over 15 innings in his first three starts but against St. Louis on April 22, he walked four and gave up two hits over 4 2/3 innings. And they were badly timed walks -- as if there ever are good ones. He had teamed up with catcher Henry Blanco in his previous start and done well. Rusch needs to stay aggressive.

Somewhat of a big game today as I don't want to see the Crew needing to beat Zambrano to avoid a sweep (and clinch a winning month of April).

***Then again, after checking the weather tomorrow's game will almost certainly be rained out. The forecast is for 100% chance of rain throughout the day tomorrow. It would be nice to finish April at 13-11.

Bah, a little rain won't stop tomorrow's game. Unless it is a rain of frogs, fire, or blood; which would be appropriate for Chicago.
