And to add insult to injury, Yost finally takes Cappy out and we get a double play. That sure would've looked nice with the bases loaded and none in.

 

This was the first truly bad move of the year for Yost.

A 4 pitch walk to Eric Byrnes is a pretty clear sign to almost anyone except Ned Yost that Cappy was done. Really at that point you couldn't ask more of Cappy, Yost needs to manage more with the brain and less with the gut....poor decision making Ned....3 pitches and a DP for Lehr....making Neds (non)move more costly.

What I can't figure out is why we can't hit Vargas. The Nationals cut him last year because he was pitching so poorly. He's the #5 guy for the D'Backs. There is no way this guy should be 2 hitting us.
